.@elonmusk just became a trillionaire again. Economically illiterate people say government should cap his wealth. Why? Governments squander money. But Musk's companies, like @spaceX and @tesla, create things people want!

BREAKING: SpaceX is seeking approval to build its own 32.4-mile natural gas pipeline to fuel Starship launches from Cape Canaveral. A direct gas supply would reduce reliance on hundreds of LNG truckloads per launch, helping SpaceX meet the fuel demands of more frequent launches.

A humanoid is a capital good on a scale that changes the constraint. It lengthens production and raises what labor and land can turn out, which is the abundance Elon is pointing at. A person supplies about 2,000 hours a year. A robot on a 168 hour week supplies about 8,700. His floor of 1 billion within 10 years, priced in the low 10,000s, equals about 4 billion full time equivalents against a world labor force of 3.5 billion. The 10 billion at 15 years is an order of magnitude past that. Robots building robots still require saving, because energy, materials, and machines have to be bid into that line. Expected abundance holds for ordinary wants which is what matters for people as consumers. Housing, food, care, and routine medicine get repriced toward energy and materials until a household’s budget stops being what limits them. An owner running 100s or 1,000s of agents earns the return on that capital stock, which is also how universal high income shows up as purchasing power. Money prices remain the way to allocate whatever is still scarce, that is energy, locations, raw materials. At least in the short term. Energy is the binding input, and settling more than one planet adds land, minerals, and generation beyond a single world. TLDR: (1) More energy. (2) Multiplanetary doesn’t hurt.
Optimus will usher in a golden age of abundance for humanity

🚀🌊 A month in Western Australia. A front-row view of Starship’s next chapter. SpaceX’s Starship Recovery team spent weeks gathering critical re-entry data ahead of Starship V3’s debut flight, tracking the vehicle’s journey from Texas toward the Indian Ocean. Watching the world’s largest rocket attempt re-entry from up close is the kind of experience most engineers only dream about. Every flight creates data. Every failure creates lessons. And every lesson shapes the next Starship. 🔥🌌

Tesla has nearly quadrupled the number of registered Cybercabs and hasn’t had a single major issue since rides began a month ago, with reviews broadly positive. That is the exact opposite of a “rocky” start.
Tesla’s Cybercab had a rocky first month in Austin. Now comes the hard part: expanding cnbc.com/2026/10/03/tesla-cy…
Community note
Tesla quadrupled registered Cybercabs in Texas from 45 to 169 during the first Austin month per DMV records, with no major safety incidents and tracked ongoing activity, though the article cites some rider complaints on waits and routing. cnbc.com/2026/10/03/tes… texasavtracker.com/tesla robotaxitracker.com

SpaceX! What a day!!!! SpaceX Launched 3 Rockets to orbit on this day. This is a record for ANY country, let alone a single company! SpaceX launched 1 Falcon 9 from California, 1 Falcon 9 from Florida, and a Falcon Heavy from Florida. 130 Satellites launched in California. 4 Astronauts launched from Florida and safely delivered to the ISS in 8 hours flat by a Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon A secret cargo for the NROL by Falcon Heavy...and a 14th flight for Falcon Heavy with a perfect record of success Four boosters returned to earth All of this IN ONE DAY.

The President and Vice President must be natural-born citizens. So should the people writing our laws, confirming our judges, and representing America on the world stage. We introduced a constitutional amendment to extend the same standard to Members of Congress, federal judges, and Senate-confirmed officers, including ambassadors. One loyalty. America.

We have a problem… Median Household Income after taxes: $76,060. Max Household Welfare Program Value: $80,000. Taxpaying Americans are constantly robbed and abused. So wrong.

“Grok, pull over” was just the start. I’ve now added “Grok, turn right up ahead” and “Grok, turn left up ahead” to my setup. Here’s a demo of it in action!

Trump just said, “Elon and I sat with President Xi the other day" Again Elon just helped strengthen the relationship between US and China.... The two most powerful countries in the world The relationship between the US and China is the most important relationship of this century. Trade, technology, energy, space. Almost every big challenge ahead runs through it Sitting at that table with two heads of state was an engineer. Someone who thinks in first principles. Someone whose record is taking problems everyone called impossible and solving them anyway....someone who's paving a way for humanity to shine among the stars

🚀 For 13 flights, Starship was intentionally kept on a suborbital path. Flight 14 changed that. On September 28, Ship 41 reached orbit for the first time, despite an early Raptor engine shutdown. SpaceX then used another engine burn to complete orbital insertion. At roughly 275 km above Earth, Starship deployed 26 Starlink V3 satellites—its first operational payload in orbit. The flight ended early, but the milestone was enormous. Starship didn’t just reach space. It finally entered the orbital era. 🌍🔥

I dramatically underestimated the value of Grok Bot in my Tesla. Can you technically do everything you’re able to do with Grok Bot in the Tesla just by launching the app on your phone and going voice mode? Sure. But the magic isn’t in the raw capability itself, it’s in the combination of raw capability and total seamlessness. I often have fleeting thoughts while driving around. Some of these things aren’t significant enough to make me fumble around with my phone while supervising FSD, but when I literally don’t have to lift a finger and can just “Hey Grok” anything computer related into reality, I find myself taking advantage daily. And the little things add up. I’m on my way to work and remembered that I have a few documents on my home computer that I am going to need for work. So I just asked “Hey Grok, can you grab those 4 pdf files from my Mac downloads folder and move them into X folder on my one drive?” Now they’ll be where I need them to be when I get to my desk, and I won’t have to re-download them on my work machine. I have to work on a presentation today for a talk in a few weeks. “Hey grok, go into my sales enablement folder and have Claude Code build me a deck focused on X product for Y industry.” Claude already has my full job context, styling preferences etc and can build a nearly finished deck with a prompt. Now when I get to my desk, instead of building from scratch, I can review and prompt revisions before beginning to dig through my email backlog. Feels insane.

Stunning!
Starship transiting the Sun this morning during Flight 14 — prior to this morning's mission, this has never been captured before with the world's largest and most powerful rocket. I’ve ached over this shot for years, mainly for two reasons: what does methane exhaust look like silhouetted against the Sun, and how violent are the acoustic energy waves from 33 Raptor engines on the Super Heavy booster? Well...now we have an answer. 📸 - @NASASpaceflight
