What the fuck did America actually give up by feeding Xi Jinping dinner?
A red carpet? Cameras? A little ceremonial “face” so Beijing gets pretty pictures for state media? Fine. Put that shit on the ledger.
Then turn the goddamn page and count what matters.
What did China gain on Taiwan? What concessions changed hands? What happened on trade, rare earths, Iran, AI, economic coercion, or Beijing’s strategic position? What leverage moved? What did Washington give away? What did it keep?
That’s the fucking scorecard.
Xi can collect handshakes, chandeliers, steak, applause, and enough glossy photos to wallpaper the Great Hall of the People. None of that settles whether the United States surrendered a single durable advantage.
Yet Washington keeps acting like foreign policy is fucking Yelp.
Too much carpet. Too much ceremony. Too many smiles. Wrong fork. Wrong optics. Somebody call the State Department sommelier.
Screw that.
If Xi walked away with real concessions, hammer the deal. If China gained strategic ground, show it. If Taiwan got weakened, if Beijing gained economic leverage, if hostile regimes got more room to breathe, put the evidence on the table and tear it apart.
That’s substance.
Scoring a great-power summit by the fucking centerpieces is political kindergarten.
Power gets measured in leverage, concessions, access, pressure, and results.
Xi can keep the steak.
Show me the fucking balance sheet.
