February 7, 2010 was one of the most unforgettable games in Capitals history — Snowvechkin ❄️🏒 With a massive snowstorm hitting Washington, the Capitals found themselves down 4–1 to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Alex Ovechkin then took over, scoring a hat trick to help Washington storm all the way back and force overtime 🔥 Mike Knuble finished the comeback in overtime, giving the Capitals an incredible 5–4 victory in one of the wildest games ever played at the Verizon Center.

Best sporting event I have attended in person. Epic from the moment I left my house to Mike Knuble's OT winner. And easily my favorite @EricFehr goal ever.

If you need to wake me from a coma, just say "Snowvechkin" and I pop up and bore your to death about that whole weekend. Just getting there was a herculean feat. THEN the roller coaster of emotions of the game. Top 5 in person hockey experience of all time.

Underrated part of this game is it was 1 goal away from being another Dueling hat tricks game. Those 2 really brought the NHL back to life.

I’m a Pens fan but the dueling Sid and Ovi hat tricks in the 09 playoffs was insane.

I went to that game with my sister. The last goal was the greatest goal I have ever seen live. I also roasted my transmission driving there. WORTH IT.
