Dieser Tage kursieren Bilder aus Aserbaidschan von Mädchen, denen wegen des Kopftuchs der Zutritt zur Schule verwehrt wird. Als jemand, die selbst als Kind vom Kopftuchzwang betroffen war und ab dem siebten Lebensjahr in der Öffentlichkeit, auch in der Schule, ein Kopftuch tragen MUSSTE, möchte ich dazu Stellung nehmen. Ehrlich gesagt macht es mich traurig, weinende Mädchen zu sehen, die nicht in die Schule dürfen. Und doch unterstütze ich diese Maßnahme voll und ganz, denn sie kann diese Mädchen letztlich aus verborgener häuslicher Gewalt befreien. In den Videos sieht man schutzlose Mädchen mit Eltern, die in dieser belastenden Situation, statt auf ihre Kinder einzugehen, vor deren Augen ihre Aggression ausleben, weil die Mädchen das Kopftuch letztendlich ablegen müssen. Manche der Kinder sind so klein, dass man an ihrem fassungslosen Blick erkennt: Sie verstehen überhaupt nicht, was gerade geschieht. Mir ist kein Fall bekannt, in dem ein Mädchen getötet oder Opfer häuslicher Gewalt wurde, nur weil es ein Kopftuch tragen wollte. Dagegen gibt es viele Mädchen, die in streng religiösen Familien aufwachsen und von klein auf in dieser Ideologie erzogen werden. Wollen sie später, aus welchem Grund auch immer, kein Kopftuch mehr tragen, erleben sie in manchen dieser Familien Gewalt durch v. a. männliche, mitunter aber auch durch weibliche Familienmitglieder, ähnlich wie in den Videos, nur in weitaus größerem Ausmaß. Sie erleben Gewalt im Verborgenen, abseits des gesellschaftlichen Blicks, an einem Ort, den weder Kameras noch allein das Gesetz erreichen, und in dem sie ihren Peinigern ausgeliefert sind: in ihrem eigenen Zuhause, dort, wo sie eigentlich Schutz finden sollten. Es gibt weltweit zahlreiche dokumentierte Fälle von Mädchen und Frauen, die ermordet wurden, weil sie sich dieser Ideologie verweigert haben. Schließlich möchte ich auf die Idee hinter dem Kopftuch eingehen: Es soll die Schönheit der “Frau” vor den Männern verbergen, damit diese nicht in „Sünde“ verfallen, gewissermaßen als Vorbeugung gegen sexuelle Anziehung. Dass ein Mädchen nach islamischem Recht ab dem neunten Lebensjahr seine „weiblichen“ Reize vor Männern verbergen muss, sollte jeden zum Nachdenken bringen. Das ist ein klares Beispiel für die Sexualisierung von Kindern. Ein kleines Mädchen ist kein „Sexobjekt“, das verhüllt werden muss. Wer Pädophilie ablehnt, muss auch dem entgegentreten und darf die Freiheit von Kindern nicht durch eine im Patriarchat wurzelnde Ideologie einschränken. Religion sollte in jeder Form erst dann gewählt werden, wenn ein Mensch die nötige geistige Reife erreicht hat, und nicht schon in der Kindheit aufgezwungen oder durch Indoktrination eingeimpft werden.

BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL TOOK GIRLS INTO CARE. IT PLACED CHILDREN AS YOUNG AS 13 IN HOMES IT KNEW THEY WERE BEING TAKEN FROM TO BE RAPED AND TRAFFICKED. When the girls reported rape, the council recommended teaching them which condoms to use and how to deal with pimps and their clients. The police cautioned the children for soliciting. Some were charged. The men were not. When Birmingham finally commissioned its own research, its researcher, Dr Jill Jesson, reached a devastating conclusion. The care system itself was contributing to the girls' exploitation, because it was failing to meet their needs. In 1995 twelve Birmingham councillors voted against finding out. In 2025 JESS PHILLIPS, the Birmingham MP who was the safeguarding minister, refused a national inquiry that would have found out. Phillips knew that a national inquiry was the only thing that could reach the council in her own city. She knew all about the gang rape of little White girls by Pakistani men. In September 2025 she told parliament that girls had been telling her for years that police were involved in the abuse. So why was it that JESS PHILLIPS tried to prevent a national inquiry? Could it have anything to do with the demographic of the men she relied on to stay in power? A landmark Finnish study has found a sharp rise in psychiatric illness among adolescents following sex-alteration procedures. The peer-reviewed study, published in Acta Paediatrica, tracked every young person under 23 who contacted Finland's gender clinics between 1996 and 2019. A total 2,083 individuals were studied, with 16,643 matched controls. They were followed for up to 25 years. Finland's health registers are mandatory, which means no one opts out — this is the complete national picture. The numbers: psychiatric morbidity rose from 9.8% to 60.7% in adolescents who underwent feminising reassignment, and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising reassignment. Even after adjusting for prior psychiatric history, gender-referred adolescents faced five times the risk of male population controls, and three times the risk of female controls. "Psychiatric needs do not subside after medical gender reassignment," the authors concluded. Referrals after 2010 arrived sicker. 47.9% had already needed psychiatric treatment before their first clinic visit, against 15.3% among controls. The authors' read: for some adolescents, gender distress may be secondary to other mental health challenges. The evidence keeps mounting. The silencing continues anyway. How many more adolescents will be told this is "care"?

Marziyeh was 18 years old when her husband's associate attempted to sexually assault her in her own home, in front of her husband. She grabbed a kitchen knife to defend herself. Her husband died in the struggle. She told the court she had been repeatedly assaulted by her husband's associates before that day. Iran's courts didn't care. The regime rejected her self-defense claim. Her attacker, who survived, took the stand and called her a murderer. The court believed him over her. She was sentenced to death. No clemency. No mercy. The sentence was carried out at Chubindar Prison in Qazvin. Marziyeh Neyri never had a chance. Forced into marriage as a child under Iran's Islamic laws, she spent the few years of her adult life in a courtroom, fighting for her life after defending it. She lost.
