I was finally able to get my transfer pin, and got confirmation from my new provider my number has been transferred! So I put the new sim card into the phone... "This phone is locked by your previous provider" Call ATT - finally get "we have submitted a request to unlock the device" - me: "why is the device locked when I wanted to transfer it?" - ATT: "Well, the number transfer went thru before you unlocked it" ME: "WHY TF dIdn't they tell me during my endless calls I needed to unlock the device in order to transfer it, when I've spent 3 weeks TRYING TO GET A TRANSFER PIN?!!??" ATT: "You should try to log in to your Apple acct to see if that can facilitate the move..." Me: logs into Apple acct… "Even though you've provided your email and password, we need you to verify the 6 digit PIN on a 3rd device associated with your acct" (none of which I still own). I am literally going insane with the endless hoops and circles I'm jumping through and running around. This must be what alzheimer's feels like.
