June has been unexpectedly a very grateful month. Third article on AI and geopolitics :) Happy that I pursued an idea that might have its way: India needs an AI dimension in its Act-East Policy. Glad to have co-proposed some ideas on this industry policy pivot with @AVIRAL96 Read on @Diplomat_APAC: thediplomat.com/2026/06/the-… cc @ThisIsSoliman @adityajakki @harshmadhusudan @RupakChatto @RMantri @d_extrovert @jppjagannath1 @GenevieveDonn

Please read more about how FP operations on GPUs are non-associative. Temperature=0 does not guarantee determinism.
That’s not why you get randomness in LLMs. It is a statistical model. If you set the “temperature” to 0 you will get the same answer every time. The statistical envelope the responses can choose from is adjustable with a parameter.

Akie Abe, widow of former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, inaugurated the Abe Memorial Corridor with UP CM Yogi Adityanath at Varanasi's Rudraksh Centre. She grew emotional recalling Shinzo Abe's 2015 visit, saying he revered Ganga & she had long wished to visit the sacred city of Kashi.

Elevenlabs is probably investing more in India AI than all the "Indian" VC put together. Let that sink in.

Lol, IndiGo deserved it. Very good.
🚨BREAKING: 68 Lakh passengers gone in one quarter. India’s biggest airline is already being marked for a loss. Domestic air traffic in Q2FY27 stood at 3.67 crore passengers, against 4.35 crore in Q1FY27 and 3.89 crore in Q2FY26. That is a 16% sequential crash and a 6% fall year on year the sharpest quarterly drop in at least five years. Jefferies and Goldman Sachs see IndiGo’s Q2 net loss, before forex, at about Rs.695 crore. Forex hit on top: roughly ₹1,000 crore. Market leader. Empty seats. Costs that do not fall with traffic. The Q2 print is the test.

Umm, unlike what techbros think, Ben Affleck's interest in coding and vision models is not surprising to me, and here's why. 1. Maybe it is a clear reflection of buying out people in Hollywood creative ecosystems who had a very antagonistic and hawkish angle to AI. 2. There are different shades of disagreement towards AI use in cinema but then we have some nuanced interests declared, like a legend like Martin Scorsese too. 3. And then we have the usual copyright maximalists including RDJ and others. Now legally - copyright maximalism against LLMs and LVMs since day 1 was misleading because the legal basis was very absolutist and was merely used as a trade union-style tactic against the major AI labs like OAI, Midjourney etc., which - makes sense, in the US legal and economic system. It still doesn't mean people should not use AI. I changed my position in 2024/25 that copyright maximalism literally doesn't make sense, and co-published an AI Inventorship Manual about it, to make the point. Still, nah - I am not overbuying Ben Affleck's enthusiasm.

Please remember CEC/ECs under the Constitution are functionaries independent of the three branches of the government. They are therefore entitled to the immunity they have to prevent any affront from the other three branches.

Many thought social media alone drives everything so they started manipulating it to the worst. They even thought AI slop will redeem them, but in most not all cases, it didn’t.
i honestly don’t understand how technophilia turned into this condescending and scientifically ignorant cult. is the dynamics of social media? it is about money? it’s truly sad, whatever it is. tech should be a good thing, not what it’s become. and above all else it should cherish science and not run roughshod over it.

Presidential immunity is permanent in that it attaches to the act, and not the tenure, so it continues after the President leaves office. Social media gives us the liberty to be shallow about these legal nuances. Read carefully, CEC/ECs immunity only extends to official actions.
The legal immunity given to Gyanesh Kumar FOR LIFE even after he demits office as CEC, has no precedent or parallel in Indian law. President of India enjoys legal immunity only during her term of office. MOSHA Gyanu ka saath jeevan bhar nibhayenge. Till death do them apart!

Log gadhe Hain, in short
God, Lanterns is really showing why people need yellow paint in games. I'm seeing people not understand show budgets because things aren't exploding every two mins. I'm seeing people not follow basic character arcs and dialogue. Literally saw someone ask how John became rich in 2026 when that very episode has him expositing what happened. I'm seeing people questioning why John didn't have a suit as if his entire character arc wasn't about him doing what others wanted of him but what he truly wants and on his terms; he is John Stewart before he's a Green Lantern. Like goddamn man

PLI is best made for commodity adjacent systems where immediate technical competence lies in orchestration not in material science. But government will struggle to understand this
For anything to do with building a supply chain, PLI isn't the best tool. The government needs to understand this plain fact. They are trying the same thing again with the telecom equipment PLI. An extra 10k crores in capex and power subsidy will get you much more in local supply chain than the 6-7k crore PLI.

It is so gratifying to realise that you can always be happy for your friends’ success, never be jealous of them despite your own hardships, genuinely wish good for them despite them indirectly showing or pretending to not show how much they find me as some dirt to exist over Earth. Maybe I was always made for liking others’ genuine success, but luck has it that hardly any of my friends has been that long-term wellwisher like fucking ever. Yes, I am too old-school. But you know what? When you live with your pain, your own disappointments, it is this old-school happiness trait that keeps you happy and content. Kindness is beautiful, but it works differently for everyone. How poetic. 🙂🥲 Silence is the best middle finger to those who cannot be happy for you for even once, citing nonsense.

Or, it has to do with how intentions work…
This long weekend has crazy long queues at popular places in India. I suspect this: almost everyone is now asking ChatGPT where to go, and it is sending the masses to similar places via similar routes at similar times. Correlated human behavior is a second-order effect of AI!

India has a hiring problem. Pitampura TV Tower ke budget pe Qutub Minar chahiye
India does not have an unemployment problem. India has a mediocrity problem. Every founder I know is always hiring. Always. There is not a single business owner in my circle who is not actively looking for good people right now. What they are frustrated with is not a lack of candidates. It is mediocre applications. Mediocre interviews. Mediocre work. The jobs exist. The standards to get them are not being met. That is a very different problem. And it needs a very different conversation.
