TUBERCULOSIS. Tuberculosis is the word they are avoiding saying in the headline and first several paragraphs. We've fallen through a rip in the space-time continuum, and landed in a Dickens novel. unilad.com/news/world-news/a…

The "let COVID rip" crowd - spreading immune-system-shredding disease. We're going to see a ton of latent TB in the coming years. If the lunatic doesn't nuke the planet first.

So, it's a type of TB that's not infectious, and also the workers who got it were treated and are no longer infectious? Izzat so?

We prefer to know it, as with most other modern peoples of the 19th century, Consumption. Please sir, what is this tuberculosis you speak of, next you'll claim you can see tiny animacules swimming about in our ponds and puddles.

In a Dickens novel, we might expect some eventual justice.

Leftists imported the third world to vote illegally for them. They brought many diseases with them.

Actually, tuberculosis (TB) incidence may represent the best bellwether for Covid induced post-infection damage, according to Professor Francois Balloux.

I mean, we used to screen people for this before coming over the border. Drug resistant Tuberculosis is out there — drug resistant syphilis too No screening under Biden — 😬

2023. While TB in the U.S. is rapidly increasing in all ages, the largest increases have been reported in children ages 5-14. We’ve had 2 TB outbreaks linked to bone grafts & a TB cluster in a children’s hospital. Outbreaks of multi-drug resistant TB have also been reported.

Article appears rather garbled: claims this was "non-infectious" latent TB, then that workers were no longer contagious after antibiotic treatment?? Suspect they had a FEW cases of active TB & treated those with Abx, but screened whole workforce & found ADDITIONAL latent cases.

TB was generally well controlled in the developed world. The sanitoriums are long gone. But now, it is back. It is back because US has turned its back on fighting infectious diseases. Shameful.

TB researcher here 👋 You need Simone Biles levels of mental gymnastics to report an "outbreak" of "non infectious" "latent TB." You might have had an outbreak of active TB that is appearing as a rise in ppl with latent TB. Need systematic screening + contact tracing.

"This was a form of TB called 'latent tuberculosis', which is not contagious like active tuberculosis." Must just be a coincidence that the 10 work together then, or the spokesman is lying. 🤔

Are they trying to position this TB outbreak as not airborne so that mitigations do t have to include air cleaning?

JFC. For those curious, the outbreak in in Coventry, in the UK. Also, TB is not simply "fully treatable with anitbiotics," there are drug resistant strains.
