There is no Irish electoral mandate for carbon tax on diesel, petrol and home heating oil. The Greens were booted OUT in the last election. The continued imposition of these carbon taxes is anti-democratic. Remove them immediately and deliver some relief to the Irish people and respect their vote. VAT on fuel should also be cut, out of economic decency and common sense. The cost of energy must come down and the fact that the government is responsible for about half of it means they have a lot of space to act. #FuelProtest

How Jason Cundy & Jamie O'Hara are paid to talk about football is beyond me. Two absolute fools who haven't a clue. #nufc

This narrative that a multi million pound organisation need ā€œencouragementā€ to make a bid for a player is nauseating. The fact that it’s only being report by certain journalists also make it extremely obvious it’s sponsored journalism. Get in the bin, Ben. #NUFC
Liverpool’s position on Alexander Isak remains the same. There has been no further bid, approach or significant interaction yet following a rejected offer of Ā£110m. Liverpool respect Newcastle’s position, and the emphatic nature of the rejection means #LFC are still waiting for encouragement. Liverpool view situation as similar to Anthony Gordon last summer. #NUFC first indicated they would be open to a deal due to their PSR issues, only to sell Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh instead. When Liverpool approached later in that window, Newcastle were no longer willing sellers. Understand Newcastle had indicated a willingness to engage on Isak, so Liverpool made their bid. It was made with optimism, which is why the strong and quick rejection was a surprise. Now that it has been rebuffed, Liverpool will not engage without encouragement. They haven’t walked away, and the saga is not yet over. But Liverpool only want to bid again if Newcastle make it clear they are not wasting their time. Should a new bid arrive, both clubs must be on the same page and then an exit is likely.šŸ‡øšŸ‡Ŗ

It is astonishing how consistently popular banning and regulating things is. Voters consistently absolutely love proposals to restrict their own freedom, presumably because they think it restricts other people's freedom.

Four convictions in the UK in a single year. Comes here to claim asylum. Commits sex offence after five days. I know we're not supposed to talk about migrant crimes because not all migrants (which is evidently true) but cases like this SHOULD destroy confidence in the system.
An asylum seeker who days after arriving in Ireland sexually assaulted a young woman in Dublin city centre after following her for up to half an hour as she tried to get away from him has been jailed for two years and three months. Adel Kerai (26) had arrived in Ireland just five days earlier when he saw the 22-year-old woman waiting for her boyfriend outside a shop on O'Connell Street and decided he ā€œfanciedā€ her, Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard. The court heard Kerai has four previous convictions from the UK, where he was living for one year prior to coming to Dublin. courtsnewsireland.ie/asylum-…

All indications seem to suggest that the No vote is ahead in #Referendum2024. If indeed this is a No vote, there are serious questions to be asked about the conduct of the government, the mainstream media, and NGOs throughout this campaign. The government and many politicians consistently misinformed, withheld information, deceived, or just blatantly lied to the electorate. Then we have Sinn Fein, who on my show disagreed with the wording of the amendments but still advocated the Yes vote, which shows they are just not listening to the people. The idea that they would threaten to rerun it again is undemocratic by their own admission. There needs to be a full investigation into the practices of NGOs who used taxpayers' money on canvassing or promoting a Yes vote. Six billion is spent on NGOs in this country of five million people, and that bill needs to be addressed. There is also the question as to why we spent almost 30 million on an unnecessary referendum. If indeed the people vote against the government and a No vote is successful, it’s a clear indication that the people don’t trust any of the government parties as they all promoted a YES vote and all need to go. It shows the clear disconnect between the government and the people and that the elites are not listening. Finally, the media have serious questions to answer. This referendum shows the importance of smaller independent media outlets like Gript, and I’ll include my own show podcast, which gave interviews and time to the No vote to balance the debate. Mainstream media is funded by taxpayers or large corporations, but Gript and myself survive on your donations and subscriptions. Well done to all those who campaigned and promoted the referendum and all those who questioned the honesty of politicians. Thank you for supporting us and democracy. Obviously, I don't condone violent riots or looting. But it is political common sense that if you - ignore over 400 immigration protests across a country over 2 years - repeatedly dismiss critics of immigration policy as a "far right fringe," and - persist in implementing open door immigration policies & offering attractive welfare provisions for asylum seekers in a country with an overburdened housing and healthcare system you are stirring the pot, and should not be surprised when the pot boils over...

šŸ‡®šŸ‡Ŗ Incredible exchange where MSM journalist challenges Gript editor for releasing the nationality of perpetrator of stabbing incident to the public. Journalists are typically midwit social climbers with unimpressive credentials - they like to feel part of ruling caste set apart from the ignorant masses they educate. Most don't even hide anymore that they value suppressing "racism" over reporting the truth.
