49 words in tribute to the Jews murdered on October 7. 141 words on how Israel is responsible for everything and the only answer is to hand more power, money, and authority to those who wish to destroy Israel.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

An absolutely atrocious statement that epitomizes the Mayor’s deep antisemitism and anti-Americanism. And of course, the senior aides around him who painstakingly helped write this vile garbage are so imbued themselves with antisemitism that they don’t even realize how heinous this is. There is a reason both Democrats and Republicans are condemning this absolutely tone deaf and outrageous statement. October 7, 2023 was the bloodiest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust when innocent civilians including Americans were raped, slaughtered, and killed by Hamas jihadist terrorists.

3 years later, everyone knows what happened on October 7th. Hamas made sure of that. They recorded their crimes. They bragged about them. They celebrated them. They wanted the world to see what they had done. I watched 47 minutes of the raw October 7 footage, much of it recorded by the terrorists themselves, and there are things I saw that day that will never leave my brain. Ever. Maybe Israel made a mistake by not showing more of that footage to the world sooner. Because somehow, three years later, people have managed to rewrite what happened right in front of our eyes. Some turned a blind eye. Some denied it. And, most disturbingly, some saw exactly what happened and decided they agreed with it. I will never understand that. I will never forget my brothers and sisters who were dragged underground and held hostage in tunnels for months and years. I will never forget those who came home. I will never forget those who came home in coffins. And I will never forget those who were murdered on October 7 and never had the chance to come home at all. I know most of the people who follow me aren’t Israeli. Many aren’t Jewish. Some probably completely disagree with me about Israel. That’s okay. But I will never change who I am or what I know in my heart because it’s more convenient for my career or more acceptable to the people around me. I am proud of who I am, and I know that being loud about that has cost me things and will probably continue to. I don’t care. October 7 changed something in me forever. Three years later, I still remember those 47 minutes. I still remember the faces. I still remember the hostages. I still remember the people we lost. And I will never, ever let anyone make me feel like remembering them requires an apology.

.@EmmanuelMacron, On the anniversary of October 7 massacre, I speak for most Israelis when I say: GO TO HELL! Since October 7, you have done everything to aid our terrorist enemies and prevent Israel from defending itself. Yet Israel is winning, while Paris is burning.

This was just sent to me. The photo was taken at a DMV today in New York City. Why does the credit card machine at the DMV in Mamdnai’s NYC have the Palestinian flag as the screensaver on October 7th? @ZohranKMamdani disgraceful. Deliberate and intentional.
Community note
The screen shows a standard geometric "Welcome" design on an Ingenico iSC Touch 250 terminal using red/white/green colors, not the Palestinian flag (horizontal black/white/green stripes with red triangle). These devices commonly use default or processor-set wallpapers. support.cardpointe.com/integrated/ter… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_P…

Shame on you for defiling the memory of so many innocent souls. October 7 was about Palestinian murderers and rapists and Jewish and non-Jewish civilian victims. There is no “other side” to this story. On the next 10/7 anniversary, just say nothing. This is despicable.

This is a disgraceful moral failure. Weaponizing the anniversary of the mass murder and kidnapping of Israelis to amplify a modern blood libel against Israelis does nothing to promote peace. It only fuels more violence and hate.

Footage from Gaza before the “genocide” Context: they’re parading dead/kidnapped Jews through the streets. But Angelina Jolie won’t post this.

If you don’t understand how truly sick this tweet is, switch out Israel for Sandy Hook. Talk about how tragic it is that innocent children were killed in school but then go on about how the mental health crisis that caused Lanza to shoot up the school is the real tragedy.

Over 75 senior retired 🇺🇸U.S. generals, admirals, and military lawyers have signed a new open letter rejecting claims that Israel committed genocide in Gaza. The signatories include those who have commanded U.S. armed forces in combat, applying the laws of armed conflict. Their conclusion: based on the facts and applicable legal standard, the conduct of Israel’s war against Hamas does not constitute genocide. As the letter states, “Civilian deaths occurring during combat, however tragic, are insufficient, by themselves, to support a finding of genocidal intent.” The standards used to judge military conduct matter precisely because war is tragic and imperfect. “The precedent established today regarding Israel will shape the conditions under which American forces fight tomorrow. Protecting civilians and preserving the ability of our nation to defend itself requires us to defend the truth when the laws of war are being distorted to make false charges of genocide.” This is not an argument for minimizing the suffering of civilians. It is an argument for applying the law faithfully and maintaining the distinctions that matter: between the tragic consequences of war, violations of the laws of armed conflict, and the specific crime of genocide.
