C’est ça qui panique le système. Pas TikTok. Pas les enfants. L’asymétrie. L’Union européenne vient de proposer d’interdire les réseaux aux moins de 13 ans, avec vérification d’âge et mini-comptes sous tutelle. Macron a déjà tenté la version française. Le Conseil constitutionnel l’a censurée en août : atteinte disproportionnée à la liberté d’expression, et surtout obligation de prouver son âge pour tout le monde, y compris les adultes, sans garanties sur la vie privée. Alors ils repassent par Bruxelles. Si la protection des enfants était le vrai sujet, on verrait autre chose. On verrait une enquête française sur Epstein qui n’arrive pas dix ans trop tard, après des millions de pages américaines. On verrait le harcèlement scolaire traité comme une urgence, pas comme un dossier qui traîne pendant que les familles crient dans le vide. On protège rarement mieux les enfants en commençant par les dossiers qui gênent le moins le pouvoir. Le vrai problème est ailleurs. Avant, un candidat pouvait exister parce que la télé le faisait exister. En 2017, Macron n’était pas un parti historique. C’était un phénomène médiatique. Pendant la campagne, cinq favoris ont absorbé l’essentiel du temps d’antenne. Les chaînes d’info ont saturé l’espace. L’exposition précédait le vote. Le 20 heures pouvait encore fabriquer un destin. Ça ne marche plus. Sur X, le discours officiel est recoupé en quelques minutes. Un chiffre, une archive, une vidéo, un témoin. Le bullshit a une durée de vie trop courte. La réalité et le communiqué ne tiennent plus dans la même pièce. Que reste-t-il, alors ? De la friction. Ils savent que beaucoup de boomers se méfient déjà de la techno. Pas par bêtise. Par instinct. France Travail : jusqu’à 43 millions de dossiers. Viamedis / mutuelles : des dizaines de millions. Free, ANTS, Éducation nationale. La France est devenue un festival de fuites. Pas interdire la vérité. Rendre son accès suffisamment pénible pour qu’une partie de la population n’y aille plus. Les enfants sont le prétexte moral. Le péage, c’est pour les adultes. Une fois que tu as vu le mécanisme, tu ne peux plus l’entendre comme une politique de cantine numérique. Parles-en autour de toi. Dis que ce n’est pas « pour les enfants ». C’est une stratégie pour que moins de gens soient confrontés à ce que les vieux médias ne tiennent plus : Ceuta et l’instrumentalisation migratoire, les fuites de données en série, le gaspillage public, les dossiers qui n’avancent que quand ils sont inoffensifs. Les gens qui s’inquiètent vraiment pour leurs enfants n’ont pas un logiciel pourri. Ils ont une angoisse réelle, récupérée par une mauvaise idée : reconstruire un goulot d’étranglement là où le réseau l’avait ouvert. La reconversion est simple. Garde les enfants. Refuse le péage. Le 21e siècle ne se jouera pas à celui qui contrôle le 20 heures. Il se jouera à celui qui accepte que la vérité circule sans permission. Et au travail.

Virtually all heavy industry across the West is now in chronic decline. Manufacturing jobs are being hollowed out, striking directly at power-intensive sectors like electric arc steel, aluminium smelting, and fertiliser production. Once-abundant, cheap, and reliable hydrocarbon energy is being degraded and decommissioned in favour of weather-dependent renewables. Simultaneously, the supply chain for this transition has been handed lock, stock, and barrel to Beijing. China now produces roughly 90% of all photovoltaic components, refined critical minerals, and panel hardware—cementing its position as the greatest manufacturing power in history through an unprecedented transfer of Western wealth. In place of high-density power generation, more than a million wind turbines and an estimated 9 billion solar panels are now scattered across open farmlands, hillsides, and coastal vistas. Because these sources are intermittent and unreliable, integrating them into existing power grids presents a colossal $21 trillion global infrastructure challenge. Prior to this shift, Western industrial policy prioritised dense, dispatchable energy security. Today, governments unilaterally lock in multi-decade decarbonisation commitments that outlast their electoral tenures by decades. Vast tracts of public and agricultural land are greenlit and bulldozed for transmission corridors, access roads, and sprawling industrial turbine arrays—all to serve an intangible belief system that vilifies carbon dioxide, the very driver of essential energy and biological growth. The tangible result? Some of the most expensive household power bills in modern history, the destruction of dispatchable coal and gas capacity, and severe damage to national industrial, economic, and defensive resilience. As one outraged writer noted, Net Zero stands as perhaps the most diabolical act of self-inflicted harm ever visited upon democratic nations by their own leadership. Government by regulatory decree is not government by representation. Mandating a multi-decade economic rewiring without an explicit electoral mandate violates the fundamental social contract between the state and the citizen. Locking in 30-year subsidy contracts strips future generations of their democratic right to adjust policy based on real-world performance. If we weren’t so accustomed to being betrayed, it would be recognised for what it is: a raw, heavy-handed exercise in power at the expense of the people.
