No way - we can not increase more taxes on Md drivers when already over half of the astronomical car registration and gas tax dollars we pay goes to mass transit - which is recovering less than 10% of its cost with fares. Marylanders are tapped out - no vehicle miles traveled tax, no more new car-related taxes - need to roll them back and transit needs to pay more for itself.

The symbolism of @marcorubio giving a speech on Western Civilization on the Pynx, cannot be understated. Where the world's first democratic assembly gathered to debate and vote. Brilliant.
Quite the production for Rubio’s speech at the Acropolis tonight: multiple cameras, jib and satellite truck, all against this backdrop.

When a ballot question requires ChatGPT to figure out what you’re voting on, that might be your first clue...to just vote No.
I just got my Maryland ballot….. Chat… what does this mean?

Define socialism: Socialism is paying your kid $10 to shovel snow…then giving your other two kids who spent the whole time playing Xbox $8 of it because it’s “fair.”

Wes Moore: “Too much red tape is stopping housing.” Maryland taxpayers: Who the hell put all the red tape there? Nothing says effective government like creating a regulatory maze, holding a press conference to remove part of it, and then taking credit for discovering scissors.✂️
Too much red tape has been stopping new housing from being built. Now, we’re cutting even more of that tape. Since our last housing executive order, we’ve seen multifamily housing reviews sped up by 26%, environmental permits sped up by 25%, and permit approval rates go from 87% to 95%. I’ve signed two more executive orders that’ll help builders build faster while also bringing down housing costs for Marylanders who want to own a home. thebanner.com/community/hous…

From @baltimoresun - “Sen. Justin Ready said DOJ’s lawsuit is “not a surprise,” adding that he long believed a face mask ban was unenforceable.…’The General Assembly Democratic leadership should’ve been cutting people’s energy bills and getting to the bottom of the multi-billion dollar audits of the Moore administration instead of pretending state laws have any impact on federal agencies,’ (Ready) said.” Article 👇

Reminder: The party that celebrated the cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline isn’t going to do anything to lower your energy costs. “I’m glad it’s dead.” — Elizabeth Warren
The Keystone XL pipeline was a giveaway to foreign oil lobbyists that put our communities, environment, and tribal lands at risk. I’m glad it’s dead, and I'm grateful to everyone who fought to make this day happen.   cnn.com/2021/06/09/energy/ke…

As Americans our elderly should not have to live in fear. This random mugging and Baltimore cost a valuable community, advocate her life. What’s more troubling is that had she not succumbed to her wounds. The suspect would have been charged with unarmed robbery. And this story would have stayed completely off the radar because politicians intentionally ignore crimes like this.

Yesterday nearly 2 MILLION Marylanders had their water access disrupted after a power outage took out a major water filtration plant! This kind of thing should NEVER happen with reasonable oversight! I still can’t believe there was no backup plan in place… 🤯

Here’s the thing - mass transit has an important place in densely crowded areas and also for commuters when it’s run properly, is clean and safe - and it always would have to be subsidized to some degree - but not over 90%!

Redistribution of money in a scheme without benefit. Where is the bonus here. I've never ridden on Mass Transportation and never will.

I hear this from lots of people…so miss me with the “well we have to raise taxes on drivers for roads…” when gas tax/car taxpayers are subsidizing this behavior.

Light rail. Never been asked to show a ticket. NEVER. Nobody buys a ticket.
