I get asked regularly why I don’t uproot myself to try something new, gamble on some venture, burn 5-figures on hoping to get a new career path.
I’m 27, I’m tired, I’ve been fighting every day for a decade and more. I just want a wife, a house and kids. The last thing anyone wants, with the mindset I have, is for me to decide on another adventure.
I think virtually all discourse around the job market and Gen Z could be better navigated if you just imagine Gen Z are fifty year old men. No, there’s absolutely zero desire for adventure. At this stage of life, you would want to just settle down and have a family.
