DReps and SPOs: Four days left to act on the Update Constitutional Committee 2026 Governance Action. The Constitutional Committee has seven seats, and four expire at the end of Epoch 653, on 6 September at 21:44 UTC. This action seats the four candidates elected by the community in the 2026 vote, keeping the committee at full strength with no gap. If it passes, ratification happens no later than the Epoch 653 boundary on 1 September, with enactment at the 653→654 boundary on 6 September, right as the outgoing members' terms end. If it fails, the committee drops to three members, below the five-member minimum. An undersized committee can still vote but can't ratify anything, so treasury withdrawals, parameter changes, hard forks, and constitution changes all stall until it's rebuilt. Mercy Fordwoo - @M3RSEE Mercy has been a top contributor in the Cardano ecosystem for several years. Her dedication to building @wada_org in Africa is quite commendable. She has been contributing to Cardano and Intersect from the very beginning and was instrumental to the success of so many milestones in Cardano including the CIP1694 workshops and the Constitutional Convention. Mercy offers a rich diversity as an African and years of immense experience in leadership and management, tempered with a deep compassion for the people. I have worked with her personally and I have found her to be a very amazing person. One of the things I admire about her is her deep desire to connect with grassroots builders and users and I think we need someone like that with such quality at the Intersect Board level.

It's increasingly obvious that few community members can know and vote about everything. That actually makes it more relevant that you do chip in in any way practical to you. For Intersect's board elections I'd like to endorse Mercy. Over the years I've found Mercy in many different initiatives, always pushing for grassroots on Cardano, calm and unafraid of debate to help find ways forward together. Intersect was given a mandate and status on Cardano that shouldn't be ignored. Pls don't forget to vote before noon UTC this Friday.
