🤡 Ok lets talk about foreign attempts to influence the Brexit vote (apart from Obama telling us we'd be at the "back of the queue" for a trade deal).... It's quite the list don't you think? ▪️ George Soros – Billionaire financier. Predicted sterling could fall by 15–20% or more, making British households poorer. ▪️ Bill Gates – Warned Britain would become significantly less attractive for business, investment and scientific research. ▪️WEF – published warnings that Brexit could cause profound recession, financial instability and falling investment. ▪️ François Hollande – French President. Warned of consequences for British trade & financial services. ▪️Hillary Clinton – US. Publicly backed Remain supporting Obama's position. ▪️ Angela Merkel – German Chancellor. Publicly backed remain. ▪️ Jean-Claude Juncker – European Commission President. Warned Britain not to leave. ▪️Justin Trudeau – Canadian Prime Minister. Warned that Britain would not get easy or automatic trade agreements after Brexit. ▪️ Donald Tusk – European Council President. Warned Brexit could have serious political and economic consequences. ▪️ Enda Kenny – Irish Prime Minister. Warned Brexit could threaten Japanese investment and more than 100,000 British jobs. ▪️ Michael Bloomberg – American billionaire, former New York mayor. Supported Remain and warned of economic and employment consequences. ▪️ Li Ka-shing – Hong Kong billionaire. Warned Brexit would damage Britain. ▪️ Wang Jianlin – Chinese billionaire. Warned Brexit could affect Chinese investment in Britain. ▪️ Jamie Dimon – JPMorgan Chase CEO. Warned that thousands of British financial-services jobs could be at risk. ▪️ International Monetary Fund (IMF) – Christine Lagarde warned the economic consequences could range from "pretty bad to very, very bad". ▪️ Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) – Predicted Brexit would leave British households thousands of pounds worse off annually. ▪️ G7 – Formally declared Brexit a serious risk to global economic growth. ▪️ G20 – Identified Britain's possible departure from the EU as a potential shock to the global economy. ▪️ European Commission – Warned Britain would lose existing privileges and face new trade barriers. ▪️ Bono and U2 – Irish musicians. Supported Britain remaining in the EU. ▪️ Liam Neeson – Irish actor. Encouraged eligible Irish voters in Britain to vote Remain. ▪️ Patti Smith – American singer. Supported a public appeal asking Britain to stay. ▪️ Jean-Michel Jarre – French musician. Supported an appeal opposing Brexit. ▪️ Lilian Thuram – French former footballer. Er hello? Does the UN think we are stupid? The UN says too many forests are being destroyed at the same time as they demand a faster Net Zero transition! Which er … has ▪️ fuelled a boom in balsa wood from the Amazon for wind turbines ▪️And then there’s the 13km road cut through protected rainforest near the host city of COP30. ▪️Oh and then there were the 17.3 MILLION trees cut down in Scotland for wind turbines ▪️And then there’s the nickel for EV batteries from Indonesia and the loss of 76,000 hectares of forest ▪️But the best example of bollocks is of course DRAX! Which BURNS about 7 MILLION tonnes of wood a year! I could list hundreds more examples but you get the point. Brilliant! destroying forests while demanding everyone stops destroying forests isn’t quite the masterplan they think it is.

Since the 1980s, the Sahara has shrunk by roughly 8%. Satellite data show widespread greening, a pattern that is playing out across the planet. Around 50% of Earth's vegetated land has become significantly greener, an area roughly three times the size of the United States. The dominant driver is not rainfall or land use change, it is rising atmospheric CO2. Higher CO2 lets plants photosynthesize more efficiently, they lose less water, they tolerate heat and dryness better. The effect is strongest along desert margins - across the Sahel, the Middle East, Australia's interior and the southern edge of the Sahara. Rising CO2 is making the deserts, and the planet as a whole, greener.

"Ursula von der Leyen" descends directly from European nobility, and she married into European nobility. Her great-great grandfather was the German noble and industrialist Baron Johann Ludwig von Knoop. Her husband, Heiko von der Leyen, descends from the Prussian baronial line of "von der Leyen zu Bloemersheim." (Source: Grok) The EU is just another way for the ancient nobility of Europe to continue to exercise their illegitimate, unelected, hereditary power and avoid the voice and vote of the masses. European immigrants came to America to escape the despicable vise grip of bloodlines controlling destiny. The EU should come nowhere near America.
Dear @MarkJCarney we want to bring the relationship with Canada to the highest level possible. I would like to work with you on opening the door for Canada to being the first associate member of the EU. And create a common prosperity and economic security space.

A new study analyzed daily temperatures from 992 long-running weather stations across 29 countries covering the years 1899 to 2024. Then it compared those temperatures to cumulative human CO2 emissions. They don't match. From 1899 to 1940, the planet warmed at a rate of 0.022 C per year, even though emissions were low. Then from 1941 to 1982, temperatures cooled, despite CO2 emissions more than tripling. From 1983 to 2024, warming returned, but slower than before, at a rate of 0.017 C per year, even as emissions rose 8.6 times higher than during the earlier warming phase. As the author conclude: "These findings challenge the conventional assumption that human-induced CO2 is the primary driver of global warming." This is because the strongest warming occurred before major modern emissions kicked in, and later periods with far more CO2 show weaker warming, or even cooling. Earth's climate is still governed by natural variability.

Bernie's Math Homework: A $72 Trillion Question Nobody In The Senate Wants To Show Their Work On Bernie. Bernie, Bernie, Bernie. I read your thread twice, once for content and once to make sure I wasn't hallucinating the part where a man who has held federal office since the Ford administration is lecturing ME about what is "too expensive." You want to talk about UnitedHealth's profits like they materialized in a vacuum, completely unconnected to the fifteen-year-old law that guaranteed insurers a captive, subsidized, taxpayer-fed customer base whether they perform well or not. That law is called the Affordable Care Act, Senator, and last I checked, you voted for it. You didn't just witness the fattening of the insurance cow. You helped build the pasture, installed the fence, and handed out the feed, and now you're standing in front of the barn acting shocked that the cow got fat. Somewhere a tree is tirelessly producing oxygen for you tonight, and I think it's owed an apology, because you are not using yours particularly well this evening. Let's start with the sleight of hand in paragraph one. You call the current system "cruel, broken, and dysfunctional," which, fine, I'll grant you the applause line — even a stopped clock, Senator. But here's what a lot of folks quietly whisper about the ACA and never say on the record: the entire architecture was never designed to be a permanent fix. It was designed to be expensive enough, and dependent enough on subsidy, that it would eventually collapse into the very single-payer system you're pitching tonight. That was Obama's stated goal in private strategy sessions long before it was yours in public speeches. Quinn's Law Number One: liberalism always produces the exact opposite of its stated intent. You wrote a bill called the AFFORDABLE Care Act. Fifteen years later you're standing on the Senate floor admitting it isn't affordable. That's not an insult from me, Senator. That's a confession from you, and confessions from a snollygoster of your tenure are rarer than a two-dollar bill, so I'm framing this one. Now to the number that should have every accountant in America reaching for the smelling salts: $72 trillion over ten years if "we do nothing." I'd love to see the model behind that figure, because your own side's favorite Yale/PERI study — the one claiming $1 trillion in annual savings and 114,000 lives saved — has been picked apart by health economists for baking in administrative-savings assumptions that have never once materialized in the real world. Meanwhile, independent nonpartisan estimates of full Medicare for All implementation run $25 to $44 trillion over a decade on the LOW end, and up to 40 to 60 percent of the entire federal budget on the high end. That's bigger than Social Security. Bigger than defense. You want the reins to more than half the federal checkbook from the same government that, and I want you to sit with this one, ALREADY runs three single-payer systems into a documented state of disrepair: Medicare, the Veterans Health Administration, and the Indian Health Service. All three are noted for fraud, waste, and corruption. Why exactly would we hand over the rest of American medicine to an operation that can't run the parts it already owns? Couldn't pour water out of a boot with the instructions printed on the heel, and you want the keys to the whole house. If stupidity were a renewable resource, this proposal alone would solve the energy crisis. Let's talk about what "guaranteed healthcare" actually looks like once a government sets a fixed global budget, because it never means what the campaign poster implies. The United Kingdom's NHS currently has roughly 7.4 million people sitting on a waiting list. Canada's average wait for specialist treatment sits at 27.4 weeks — over half a year to see a specialist for a system you'd hold up as the model. When a country caps the total pot of money for healthcare, somebody, somewhere, in an office you never voted for, has to decide who gets the expensive treatment and who gets a wait-list number and a pamphlet. Ask your Canadian and British counterparts how many of THEIR citizens fly to Cleveland or Houston for care they can't get fast enough at home. Innovation doesn't happen in systems that ration by waiting line instead of by price; it happens in the system that's currently subsidizing the entire planet's drug research because it's the only market left where a return on investment is still possible. You want to nationalize the goose right after everyone else stopped feeding it, and you have the nerve to call that compassion. And since we're doing incentive structures tonight, Senator, here's a question I'd genuinely like a straight answer on. When the budget for a nationalized system is fixed, and a hip replacement for a 78-year-old costs the same line item as a hip replacement for a 38-year-old worker still paying into the system, which patient does the bureaucrat's spreadsheet favor? I'm not the one who invented cost-per-quality-adjusted-life-year calculations — the health economists who built NICE in Britain did that, and it already factors age and remaining productive years into treatment approval. You can dress it up in whatever language you'd like. Call it stewardship. Call it efficiency. I call it exactly what it is: a system where somebody's grandmother gets a pat on the head and a prescription for ibuprofen while the math gets done in a back office. If brains were dynamite, half of Congress couldn't blow their nose, and yet here we are pretending fixed budgets and unlimited demand can coexist without somebody, somewhere, drawing a line nobody voted on. Here's the part that should really sting, and I say this as someone who watched it happen in real time. Your own party just finished a forty-three day shutdown demanding permanent extension of the same ACA subsidies you're using tonight as evidence the system is broken. Those subsidies were written as TEMPORARY line items in Biden's Autopen's American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Zero Republican votes on either bill. Your party wrote the expiration date. When it arrived exactly as scheduled, your caucus shut down the federal government and then had the nerve to act shocked that a temporary Christmas bonus, in fact, expired on schedule. I keep hearing that ending the subsidy is somehow cruel, and yet nobody on your side has explained why a program can survive fifteen years and still require emergency pandemic cash to stay "affordable." And here's the part that really ought to embarrass you personally, Senator: back in 2013 YOU said Republicans "cannot continue to hold the American people hostage because of their hatred for the Affordable Care Act." In 2019 you said "end this horrific shutdown — stop taking hostages." In 2025, when your own party did the exact same thing over the exact same law, you went quiet in public and voted with the hostage-takers you spent a decade condemning. Quinn's Law Twenty-Two: the bigger the lie, the more the liberal repeats it. Quinn's Law Twenty-Three: liberals love the law right up until it's inconvenient, then they just don't follow it. You're not a statesman on this one, Senator. You're a weathervane with a Vermont accent. Let's also revisit the insurance-company villain routine, because the hypocrisy here could power a small city. Your party's online base spent an entire news cycle canonizing a 26-year-old accused of murdering a health insurance CEO as some kind of folk hero, motivated, allegedly, by hatred of the insurance industry. Now here you are, defending a law that GUARANTEES that same industry a permanently subsidized customer base by federal statute. You can't cheer the vigilante and defend the victim's business model in the same news year without somebody noticing the whiplash. If you actually cared about breaking the insurance industry's grip, you'd be championing Health Savings Accounts, which put healthcare dollars directly under the individual's control instead of a bureaucracy's. But HSAs give power to the person, not the agency, and that's precisely why your side has never supported them with any real enthusiasm. Blatherskite is a word for a certain kind of talker, Senator, and I think you've earned it fair and square tonight — somebody who produces an impressive quantity of noise that, examined closely, contains no substance that survives contact with arithmetic. Now, about the messenger. Because I would be doing my viewers a disservice if I let the argument stand without a word about the man delivering it. You are eighty-three years old, Senator. You own three houses. Your campaign spent $221,000 on chartered private aircraft in a single quarter last year, and when a reporter asked you about the mild irony of flying a $15,000-an-hour jet while denouncing the wealthy, your actual answer was "no apologies for that... you think I'm gonna be sitting on a waiting line at United?" No, Senator, apparently you are not going to sit in line with the rest of us — the same rest of us you'd like sitting in an NHS-style line for a hip replacement while you catch a connecting flight in first class. You honeymooned in the Soviet Union in 1988 and came back enthusiastic about what you saw there. A Democratic senator recently visited a formerly communist country and asked the locals what they thought of American politicians warming back up to socialism. Their answer, word for word: "that's the worst thing ever... you are morons." Not misguided. Not idealistic. Morons — from people who actually lived in the bread line you're romanticizing from a leased jet. And here's the detail that I think explains everything, Senator, and I say this as gently as a man with a whiteboard can say it: you tried this once already, on a much smaller scale, and you couldn't hack it. You spent time as a young man on a hippie socialist commune, and by every account you did not stick around long enough to collect a pension from it. If a Vermont commune of a few dozen willing adults couldn't hold you, I have genuine, science-teacher-grade doubts about your ability to run a healthcare system for 340 million Americans who never agreed to live there in the first place. You are, in the most literal sense available, the poster child for why socialism doesn't work — because even the guy selling it to us full-time couldn't make it work for himself in a group small enough to fit in a farmhouse. So here's my counteroffer, Senator, and I want it on the record that I am saying this with a completely straight face: maybe I'm for socialism after all. On one condition. We get to deport every parasite in the system who refuses to contribute a life's worth of work to keep it running. No exceptions. No sob stories. Socialism doesn't care about sob stories, Senator — that's YOUR line, not mine, you've just never applied it to yourself. Pack your bags. Send them all to Greenland. I hear it's lovely this time of year, and I understand the president's been looking to expand our footprint up there anyway. Somebody has to be first in line. Since we're apparently finding $72 trillion in the couch cushions for a program that hasn't passed, I do have a much smaller question. Who pays for it, Senator? I keep hearing "tax the rich" from your side, and I'll believe the sincerity of that slogan the day one of you voluntarily pays double what the IRS says you owe with no itemized deductions, standard deduction only, before lecturing the rest of us about fair shares. Until then it's just theater, and not even good theater — Lindsay Lohan handing you the keys to the minibar would be a more responsible use of resources. This country was founded by geniuses and every generation since has managed to elect a fresh batch of people who think a $72 trillion program pays for itself if you just believe hard enough. My family of six runs on a teacher's salary, and I could not get away with your math homework in my own classroom, let alone in front of 340 million people who actually have to pay the bill. I could eat a bowl of alphabet soup, poop out a smarter healthcare plan than the one you posted tonight, and still have time to grade papers before first period. And before anyone accuses me of pulling a conspiracy theory out of thin air, on January 10, 1963, Congressman Albert Herlong stood on the floor of the House and read into the permanent Congressional Record a list of 45 Communist Goals for America, sourced from Cleon Skousen's research. Goal Number 30 calls for discrediting the American founding in favor of the belief that centralized government planning is superior to a free market. Goal Number 32 calls for supporting any movement that hands centralized control over any part of the culture to the state, education, welfare, and social agencies included. I'm not asking anyone to believe in a sixty-year plot. I'm asking you to look at tonight's thread and tell me, honestly, which goal it more closely resembles. You've spent sixty years auditioning for both, Senator, and tonight you finally landed the part. I have three questions for you, and I'd genuinely like an answer, though I won't be holding my breath long enough to turn a different color over it. Did you not read the actual cost projections on your own bill and are just repeating what the base wants to hear regardless of the math? Are you no longer sharp enough at eighty-three to understand what a $72 trillion price tag actually does to a currency? Or do you understand it perfectly well and are simply comfortable deceiving the people who send you back to Washington every six years? Pick one. There is no fourth option, and "all of the above" is not the flex you think it is. But what do I know — I am only a science teacher who insists on reading the CBO score before I sign my name to anything, unlike a man who apparently could not even survive the small-scale pilot program of his own ideology. #MAGA #Veterans #Trump @JoJoFromJerz @atrupar @TheYoungTurks @TPUSA
We Need Medicare for All More Than Ever Over and over again, I hear from critics that moving to Medicare for All is just “too expensive.” That is demonstrably untrue. But let me tell you what IS too expensive. And that is our current healthcare system, which puts the profits of the big health insurance and drug companies ahead of the well-being of the American people. Today, not only is our current system cruel, broken and dysfunctional, it is wildly expensive. Despite spending twice as much per capita on healthcare as other wealthy countries, we remain the only major nation on Earth not to guarantee healthcare for all. The result: 85 million Americans are uninsured or underinsured and thousands die unnecessarily every year because they can’t afford the healthcare they need. The outrageous cost of the current American healthcare system is unsustainable. If we do nothing, it is estimated that we will spend $72 trillion over the next ten years. That is trillion with a T. These skyrocketing costs are not only making healthcare unaffordable for ordinary Americans, they are negatively impacting businesses and our entire economy. According to a recent survey, employers in our country are expecting the cost of healthcare to skyrocket by 11% next year — the highest in decades. Last year, as healthcare costs soared, insurance companies made over $54 billion in profits, drug companies continued to charge us, by far, the highest prices in the world for medicine, and healthcare CEOs received huge compensation packages. But that’s not all. The current system maintains massive amounts of expensive bureaucracy and administrative costs designed not to provide high quality healthcare to all, but to make executives and stockholders extraordinarily rich. It is not an accident, for example, that we spend a fraction of what other countries spend on primary healthcare and disease prevention. Not only would investments in these areas make Americans healthier, they would save tens of billions a year in keeping people out of emergency rooms and hospitals. The Medicare for All legislation that I introduced would save the American people over $1 trillion and 114,000 lives each and every year according to researchers at the Yale School of Public Health. This legislation has 18 cosponsors in the Senate and 115 in the House. Most importantly, it now has the support of 64% of the American people, according to a poll that came out last month. Over a four-year transition period, Medicare for All would guarantee healthcare as a human right to everyone. In the first year, we reduce the eligibility age to 55, cover all children under 18, and expand Medicare to cover dental, vision and hearing. In the second year, the Medicare eligibility age would be reduced to 45. And in the third year it would drop to 35. By the fourth year, every man, woman and child would be enrolled in a Medicare for All system with no copayments, no premiums, no deductibles and no out-of-pocket expenses. Every major country on Earth figured out decades ago how to provide universal healthcare to all of their people at a much lower cost than we do. Please don’t tell me we cannot do the same.

Climate Science's Favorite Bluff Two generations of climate scientists have been trained to repeat it. None of them can define what it means. There is a phrase that circulates like a password in climate discussions. Someone points out that atmospheric CO₂ has a short turnover time. Within minutes an IPCC defender arrives and types the same empty accusation. "You've confused the short residence time with the long adjustment time." They never say what the adjustment time is. They never cite a measurement. They never write an equation. They just deploy the phrase and consider the matter closed. It is a climate shibboleth. A tribal password. It has the shape of an argument and none of the substance. No Operational Definition Exists The IPCC has published six Assessment Reports. Search them for an operational definition of "adjustment time" that a physicist could take into the lab and measure. You will not find one. There is no experiment that yields the number. There is no observation that constrains it. There is no derivation from first principles that produces it. It appears as an output of the Bern Impulse Response Function, and nowhere else. The Bern IRF is a curve fit to a bunch of models. No measurements or DATA involved at any step. Four exponentials with hand-tuned coefficients. Joos himself, the primary author, wrote in 2013 that the coefficients "should not be interpreted as distinct physical processes." IPCC AR5 Box 6.1 ignored him and used the coefficients exactly that way. The "long adjustment time" is the tail of that fitted curve. It is what an ensemble of falsified models produces, not what nature does. What The Measurements Actually Show ACTUAL residence time τ_res is measured. Koutsoyiannis 2024 (Water 16, 2402) gives τ_res = 3.80 ± 0.12 yr from Mauna Loa and Barrow flux data. This number is derived, not assumed. It is peer-reviewed. ACTUAL relaxation time τ_rel is also measured. Bomb radiocarbon left a spike in atmospheric ¹⁴C back in the 1960s. That spike decayed. It decayed as a single clean exponential across 52 years of Hua 2022 compilation data. Fit statistics: τ_rel = 18.4 years, permanent fraction = ZERO. Zero. Not small. Zero. The Bern IRF requires that 22% of an atmospheric CO₂ pulse remain airborne essentially forever, with an e-folding time of 165 years and longest decay timescale of 394 years! Bomb-¹⁴C proves this cannot be. The spike decayed all the way down. Nothing stuck. Every IPCC Global Warming Potential and Absolute Global Warming Potential number rests on that permanent fraction. Every "hundreds to thousands of years" persistence claim rests on that permanent fraction. The permanent fraction DOES NOT EXIST. The Rhetorical Machine Once you understand there is no measurement behind the "adjustment time," the deployment pattern becomes clear. The phrase is not an answer to a technical question. It is a way to end the conversation without answering the technical question. The speaker asserts confusion in the opponent. The opponent now has to defend against a charge of confusion instead of pressing the original point. The audience, hearing an insider vocabulary word they do not know, assumes the speaker knows something they do not. Nobody asks the speaker to define the term. Nobody asks for the measurement. Nobody asks how a quantity with no operational definition can be used to correct someone else's arithmetic. The IPCC has trained an army of "useful idiots" to repeat the phrase. The army repeats it. The army has never been shown the underlying number because there is no underlying number. The Fit Underneath The Fit The defenders of the long adjustment time have one fallback when pressed. They say the Bern IRF parameters were derived from complex model runs. As if that rescued the number. It does the opposite. It confirms the emptiness. The Bern IRF is a curve fit. What it is fitted to is not atmospheric data. It is fitted to the output of coupled carbon-cycle models. Those models produce a long tail because they were built to produce a long tail. The Revelle buffer is assumed. The deep-ocean equilibration timescale is assumed. The permanent airborne fraction is assumed. The model integrates the assumptions forward. Joos fits four exponentials to the trajectory. The IPCC cites the four exponentials as if they described nature. Nature never appears in the chain. Model to fit to citation. That is the whole architecture. At no step does an observation enter and constrain a parameter. There is a further tell. If the adjustment-time parameters described a physical quantity, they would be stable across successive fits. They are not. The Bern IRF coefficients change from AR2 to AR3 to AR4 to AR5. The permanent fraction moves. The individual e-folding times move. This is what parameter drift looks like when a curve is being refitted to changing model output. It is not what a physical constant looks like. A measured quantity does not shift every seven years because the modeling group updated their code. The Ensemble Move And it is worse than fitting to a single model. The parameters are fitted to an ensemble of models. This makes the epistemic situation worse, not better. An ensemble in physics or statistics is a defined mathematical object. It requires the members to be independent draws from a common distribution, or to satisfy some other explicit sampling criterion, so that averaging across members reduces variance in a way that is calculable. The central limit theorem needs independent identically distributed samples. Bayesian model averaging needs priors and likelihoods. Any ensemble claim needs a stated mathematical structure that justifies treating the average as more informative than any single member. CMIP has no such structure. The CMIP models share code lineages, share parameterizations, share tuning targets, share the same falsified assumptions about tropospheric moist convection, share the same falsified radiative-disequilibrium premise, share the same assumed Revelle buffering, share the same assumed permanent airborne fraction. They are not independent. They have never been shown to be draws from any distribution. There is no likelihood function. There is no prior. The "ensemble mean" is an arithmetic average of correlated non-independent trajectories from models with shared failure modes. That average has no statistical meaning. Averaging thirty models that all get the tropical hot spot wrong does not produce a better estimate of the tropical hot spot. It produces the same wrong answer with a spuriously narrow confidence interval. And no individual member of the ensemble matches observation. Not one. Every CMIP run diverges from measured tropospheric temperature profiles. Every run diverges from ARGO ocean heat content. Every run produces the tropical hot spot that is not there. If any single model matched reality you could point to it. Nobody does. The defense is always the ensemble mean, precisely because no individual member is defensible. Because the ensemble averaging has no mathematical basis, the standard practice of quoting "CMIP ensemble spread" as a measure of uncertainty is also empty. The spread is the disagreement among models that are all wrong. It is not a confidence interval. It does not bound the true value. It bounds the range of failure modes. Layers of the Lie A parameter fit to an illegitimate arithmetic mean of individually falsified simulations, whose spread is not an uncertainty, quoted as if it constrained a physical quantity that has no operational definition, deployed rhetorically to accuse others of confusion. Every layer is empty. The Foreclosure The bomb-radiocarbon relaxation is a direct atmospheric observation with no model assumptions. It is inconsistent with any Bern-like impulse response, at any parameter setting. The operator-equivalence theorem proves this by Cauchy-Schwarz and Vandermonde arguments that hold for every choice of coefficients, not just the current ones. There is no "long adjustment time" hiding somewhere waiting to be discovered. The physical system does not admit one. The tracer went in, and it came out, and it followed a single exponential the whole way. When someone next tells you that you have confused residence time with adjustment time, ask them one question. What is the operational definition of adjustment time, and where is the measurement that yields its value? They will not answer. They cannot answer. There is no answer. And they have been taught to keep saying the sentence anyway. SHAME ON THEM

Where exactly is the “climate crisis”? Not in reported disaster frequency. Not in weather-related losses as a share of global GDP. And certainly not in human lives... disaster deaths have collapsed over the past century. CO₂ increased. The planet warmed. Yet humanity became safer, wealthier, and dramatically more resilient. These charts don’t prove climate never changes. They expose something far more inconvenient: the data do not support the relentless narrative of escalating global catastrophe. No accelerating disasters. No exploding relative costs. No mounting death toll. If your “crisis” disappears whenever the complete historical record is shown, you’re not presenting science. You’re selling fear.

Climate Crisis Fun Facts: The CO2 hypothesis is just that. And it’s a hypothesis based on three assumptions. First, that all natural climate factors are known, properly understood and have been considered. Second, that whatever cannot be attributed to natural factors must be attributed to human-induced CO2. Third, that there is a direct connection between CO2 and temperature. Experience and empirical evidence have shown us that all three of these assumptions are false.

If I could vote in the midterms, I would vote Republican for ONE major policy win: BORDER AND IMMIGRATION. Everything else can wait. This one changed the country. 1️⃣ ORDER CAME BACK Catch-and-release died. Crossings collapsed to ZERO as opposed to THOUSANDS per day. Cities stopped absorbing endless new arrivals they could not house, school, or police. 2️⃣ FENTANYL KILLS FEWER AMERICANS A tighter border squeezes cartel pipelines. Fewer doses on the street. Fewer overdoses. That is not theory. That is kids still alive. 3️⃣ WAGES AND HOUSING STOP GETTING CRUSHED When the labor market is flooded, paychecks flatten and rents explode. Control the flow and working Americans get leverage again. 4️⃣ SCHOOLS, ERS, AND SHELTERS CAN BREATHE Local budgets stop being emergency camps. Teachers, nurses, and cops go back to serving the people already there. 5️⃣ SOVEREIGNTY BECOMES REAL AGAIN A country that cannot say who enters cannot protect jobs, elections, or the next decade. Secure the line now and America stays America later. BOTTOM LINE: One Major Policy. Control the border. The second-order effects are safer streets, stronger wages, lower pressure on cities, fewer dead kids, and a country that still belongs to its citizens. That is why I would vote Republican to give President Trump the leverage even though the Republicans in office currently are USELESS. It's much easier to push and negotiate with your own party rather than trying to convince SOCIALISTS AND COMMUNISTS aka Democrats.

The United Nations worst case global warming scenario collapsed a few months ago after admissions the modellers got it wrong. The world is no longer facing a 5.5°C warming trajectory by 2100 at all. That target has been removed as 'implausible'. Yet this was the chief driving reason for a global transition away from fossil fuels, and replacing them with energy from wind turbines and solar panels. This effort to harness wind and sunlight could become one of the greatest economic disasters in modern history, costing $275 trillion by the time a new fully developed infrastructure is in place by 2050. This would include a second global power grid costing $21 trillion. The UN explanation—'We are on track for a 5°C apocalypse if we don't immediately upend the global economy'—is dead. Removing its extreme scenario creates a distinct institutional challenge for a climate bureaucracy that spent 25 years leveraging fear. We are left with a blighted rural landscape, trillions of dollars spent on a gigantic physical overbuild and the likelihood that this will become a self-fulfilling, replacement loop every 20 to 30 years. The scientific community has acknowledged that the catastrophic, upper-end predictions were built on flawed, outdated economic models, because early modelers failed to understand real-world market trends. First made available in 2011 to drive global climate policy, this extreme scenario—known widely as RCP8.5 (and later SSP5-8.5)—served as the primary engine for the media's terrifying 'business-as-usual' headlines for over a decade. It was built on assumptions that humanity would aggressively abandon clean tech, undergo an unprecedented five-fold increase in coal use, and even resort to converting coal to oil to run vehicles. Those apocalyptic projections simply didn't occur and fossil fuels produce 81% of global primary energy; wind-solar 6.5%. With the retirement of the extreme 5C baseline for the upcoming 7th Assessment Report (AR7), the ceiling for projected global warming has dropped significantly. The newly proposed high-emissions baseline has been downgraded to a maximum of 3.3°C by 2100. The climate narrative has now officially shifted from an existential struggle of 'apocalypse versus survival' to a standard problem of risk management. Developed in the early 2010s, RCP8.5 was intended to reflect its worst-case scenario available at the time, according to an analysis by Carbon Brief. It modeled a future with rapid population growth and massive, unchecked coal expansion where global coal use would increase multifold by 2100. Media outlets, advocacy groups, and financial regulators defaulted to RCP8.5, creating a vision of unchecked coal expansion. Yet while real-world coal production did rise—driven by China and India to roughly 9 billion tons annually—it never approached the absurd 5x multiplier required by the UN’s old models.

The top 10 leading climate and environment predictions, that failed Ice-Free Arctic: In the 2000s, former US Vice President Al Gore predicted the Arctic Ocean would be completely ice-free in the summer of 2013–2014. Vanishing Nations by 2000: In 1989, a UN official claimed entire island nations would be wiped off the map by sea-level rise if global warming wasn't reversed by 2000. 1970s Global Cooling Scare: News outlets and selective scientific papers in the 1970s warned an imminent ice age was coming due to aerosol pollution. Mass Famine (1968): Paul Ehrlich’s The Population Bomb claimed hundreds of millions would starve in the 70s and 80s. Running Out of Metals (1972): The Club of Rome warned the world would run completely out of copper, gold and zinc by 2000. Forest Collapse from Acid Rain: 1980s forecasts predicted acid rain would destroy Central Europe's forests within a decade. Extinction of Coral Reefs by 2020: Activists warned 90% of tropical reefs would disappear by 2020. Immediate Peak Oil (1970s–2000s): Experts routinely declared cheap oil would run out by the 1990s or 2010s. Methane 'Bomb': Early fears warned permafrost thaw would trigger a massive, overnight methane release causing runaway warming. Net Zero & RCP8.5 Overreach: Net Zero policy largely relied on RCP8.5—an extreme worst-case scenario assuming massive coal growth leading to ~4.5°C warming. Scientists have sidelined this pathway as unrealistic.

Oil & Gas are NOT "fossil fuels"! FREEMAN DYSON [Professor Emeritus in the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton] on THOMAS GOLD's [Professor of Astronomy at Cornell University] theory that oil & gas come up from deep within the mantle of the earth and have NOTHING to do with biology. Chemists at the Carnegie Institute in Washington later proved his theory chemically correct. This is called the abiogenic theory of oil and gas formation. Freeman Dyson wrote the foreword to Gold's 1999 book "The Deep Hot Biosphere" where he concluded, "Gold's theories are always original, always important, usually controversial — and usually right. It is my belief, based on fifty years of observation of Gold as a friend and colleague, that the deep hot biosphere is all of the above: original, important, controversial — and right." x.com/robinmonotti/status/17…
