After four and a half years and the biggest fight of my life, I am home.
I could not have done it without each and every person who stood beside me, spoke my name when I couldn’t speak for myself, shared my story, challenged what was wrong, and simply refused to give up on me.
Thank you.
I am grateful.
To my friends and family. To the thousands of people in our 2A community. To every Second Amendment organization that fought for me, supported me, and refused to let my case be forgotten. To all the journalists who told my story, including
@HT_GunWriter. To my legal team,
@fuddbusters and
@WelchWrightLaw, who stepped up when the full might of the federal government was crushing me.
To the six members of Congress who stood with me when it mattered most:
@RepEliCrane ,
@RepEricBurlison,
@RepJenKiggans ,
@RepBresnahan ,
@RepWebster, and
@RepGosar.
To the leaders in the administration who helped make this possible. And, last but certainly not least, to President Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump for intervening and giving me my life back.
There are so many more people I need to thank personally—people who helped, encouraged, prayed, fought, called, wrote, shared, donated, opened doors, or simply refused to let me disappear.
I could never name everyone in one post, because there are too many. But please know this: I remember you, and I will never forget what you did for me.
I am humbled. I am grateful.
And I am home with my family.
What happened to me should frighten every law-abiding gun owner, because it can happen to anyone.
And there are others.
The work has just begun.
