#ISEH2024 Chicago was incredible! 🌃
Grateful for the chance to present my PhD project on a new preclinical platform to study dormant mutant stem cells in JAK2V617F-MPNs.
The scientific community and people met here made this experience unforgettable.🌟✨
Amazing talk from my labmate @GhezziIan who presented his PhD work at #ISEH2024 on the role of cancer stem cells in JAK2 mutated MPN at @MilsomLab. He completely rocked the stage!
Fantastic talk yesterday at the New Investigator Award session of #ISEH2024 from my friend and colleague @DussiauC who presented his postdoc work in the @MilsomMick’s lab about aging of the hematopoietic system.
Congrats!!🍾
Save the Date: on Monday, February 19th, 2024 will take place the second iBLOOD retreat. This time we will be guests at EMBL Heidelberg- the large Operon is booked. We will continue the new chapter of collaboration opened up in 2022. Looking forward!
Fenia Fotopoulou absolutely rocked her first conference talk at the German Association of Aging Research annual meeting……she‘ll give a repeat performance at @ISEHSociety annual meeting in NYC in a few weeks.
Excited to be in #Jena for the #DGfA meeting 2023 about #ageing (what else? 🤓)! @Esther_RCorrea is the representative of the @MilsomLab today so come check out her poster to learn about the impact of age-associated clonal hematopoiesis on liver cancer 🙌🥳
Incredible line up of speakers at the International Heidelberg Symposium on Stem Cells and Cancer (10-12 September) organized by @hi_stem_lab and @LabTidow!
Free registration + 3 days of amazing science = 🤩🔥
Make sure to register, with the possibility to submit an abstract!
Excited to announce: International Heidelberg Symposium on Stem Cells and Cancer on Sep 10-12, 2023 @DKFZ. Worldwide opinion leaders present latest data on cancer stem cells, tumor heterogeneity, therapy resistance & more! Registration for FREE @ stem-cells-cancer.de. #SCC2023
Only a few hours to go until @GhezziIan presents his PhD project exploring the role of dormant JAK2 mutant HSCs in disease propagation and therapy resistance @EHA_Hematology annual meeting.

Thankful to @EHA_Hematology for receiving an EHA Travel grant to give an oral presentation on my project in the session “Scientific updates in MPN”.
If you’re curious about the role of dormant stem cells in MPN, be sure not to miss the session on Saturday at 16.30! 🧬🔬
#EHA23
Extremely excited (clearly!) to have presented one of my PhD projects at #EESAgeing this afternoon @EMBLHeidelberg 📊 Thankful for all the stimulating chats and cheers to @LorenzRsm, @JavierMarqueta et al. for letting me brag about the sunset view from the Schloss 🏰
Happy to share the published version of our work on deep neural networks for mining of #cryoET data - we provide software, trained models for particle and filament detection and annotated tomograms nature.com/articles/s41592-0…
Hey #ScienceTwitter and #MPN people! :)
I was wondering if anyone routinely uses ddPCR to check the JAK2V617F VAF in the mouse model developed by Mullally et al. (2010)?
Did you expect that bone marrow HSCs would be affected by local #Influenza infection? We are thrilled to show that they do; resulting in increased #megakaryocytic output!
Congratulations @MarcelGE_Rommel
for this beautiful work! It was such a pleasure 🥳
We are very excited about our work: How a respiratory virus infection influence hematopoietic stem cells to megakaryocytic output. @CellReportstinyurl.com/4ub94naf Thanks to all at the @PEI_Germany and amazing collaboration with @MilsomLab and Essers Lab at @hi_stem_lab
@Esther_RCorrea from @MilsomLab gives the penultimate talk at #ISEH2022 after being awarded the best talk prize in the pre-meeting workshop. Absolutely fantastic job. Very proud!
An unashamed plug for our manuscript just published in @CellStemCell on the (very) long-term effects of inflammation and infection on HSC function and how this relates to aging. performed @DKFZ@hi_stem_labauthors.elsevier.com/a/1fRPY… THREAD 1/n
Meet @jeyanj at #EHA2022 this weekend (yeeey! ) presenting his poster about how horizontal transmission of infections leads to reduction of HSC function in contrast to the vertical transmission that preserves HSC fitness. Have fun 🤞🏻🥳
