The communities who generously donated the food . Is there something wrong with that? BAME are not all black, includes East Europeans and us Irish . It's likely that demand will be from BAME people but it's not necessarily exclusively so. Racists lack real life education.
It doesn't say black only, does it? As far as I can see it does food donated by black people, so has stuff one might not see elsewhere. You could politely ask , of course if you aren't meeting your own food needs, but I would have thought Halifax was out of their reach.
