I was born and raised in MA, and in 2004 when New Hampshire was a swing state (if Gore had won it he would have won in 2000) there were so many damn campaign ads to the point where it got more annoying than anything else. I could see that happening in TX.
The stickiness of the polls after a firehose of money has already been deployed for Paxton really makes me wonder if they’re hitting diminishing returns here. Does it actually help much when every single commercial on TV is a Paxton ad?

I do wonder if the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation will weigh in on @TheExpanseRPG the same way they did with Atomic Heart, given @OwlcatGames past and present ties to Russia.

This is pretty accurate.

Literally none of this happened lol
This path to a not-terrible midterm now seems more plausible: - Some kind of successful resolution on Iran - Trump then goes to the Artemis splashdown - America 250 good vibes - Midterm convention - Actually force Dems to take bad votes on things like deporting criminals

Good to see KLB finally airing more ads, particularly ads that attack Jackson's lies. That said, she need to air some that tells voters what she wants to do as governor.
NEW AD 🚨 BUSTED. Slick Rick got caught building a data center and secretly negotiating the deal, preventing residents from getting the answers they needed. Now, that community is left paying the price, with electricity rates set to skyrocket. He lied to that community just like he’s lying to Georgians. The truth: Slick Rick Jackson is strictly Pro-Data Center.

Do I think Hinojosa is up by 4? No. Do I think it is a neck and neck race? Yes. Abbott is running for a fourth term, and at some point voters get tired of the same guy (or gal) running. And Hinojosa is running a great campaign.
I would bank my career on saying that Hinojosa is not ahead in the Texas Governor race today—let alone up by 4 points. Something is likely very wrong with the polling industry this year, and that includes NYTimes—a pollster I respect a lot.

Results that show Hinojosa in the lead, and others showing Abbott in the lead are the signs of a tossup race.

You know, I really hope the next poll out of Maine asks respondents what they think about Collins' corruption scandal, or if they've even heard about it. Be interesting to see if it is having any impact on their decision.

I'm liking Hamilton more and more.
#KansasSenate Kansas City Star: Adam Hamilton is a rare red state Democrat who has criticized the Senate filibuster In May 2022, Hamilton joined other Kansas City-area faith leaders at a news conference following a series of mass shootings to demand that Congress pass stricter gun control laws. During these efforts, Hamilton and other faith leaders specifically critiqued the Republican filibuster in the Senate, which had blocked the passage of those House-approved measures. kansascity.com/news/politics…

What is up with their fixation on New Hampshire? Spending more there than Michigan makes no sense. Again, friendly reminder that this is only possible because of Citizens United.
FEC: The Republican-linked Senate Leadership Fund dumps another $22.5 million across six races: 🟥Ohio: $9,967,064 🟥Iowa: $4,794,569 🟥Maine: $3,749,015 🟥Alaska: $1,531,158 🟥New Hampshire: $1,474,765 🟥Michigan: $1,013,912

And it will be the closest out of all them so far. That's how strong Collins is.

Given Marist’s track record this poll should be more favorable to Jackson than some of the others we’ve been getting.

If this is true it is going be a disaster. The Houthis might be an irregular force, but they have combat experience while the Saudi military is a bad joke.
BREAKING: Saudi Arabia plans 100,000-troop Yemen offensive to retake the Bab el-Mandeb from Yemen's Houthis, without any US support and all troops under Saudi command, supported by Saudi air strikes and expected to launch in the coming weeks, per Reuters. Crown Prince MBS is weighing a narrow push along the coast around Bab el-Mandeb or a broader offensive on multiple fronts, with synchronized attacks in Al-Bayda, Marib, Taiz and Al-Jawf. The US and Saudi Arabia's other allies are not expected to take any part in combat operations, after Trump refused MBS's requests for US strikes and then called off strikes with bombs already loaded on US warplanes two weeks ago.

Yup. Happened with Lt gubernatorial in 2024 where the Republican Rogers beat the Progressive Zuckerman, but he did it with a plurality, but the Democrats in the legislature voted for Rogers regardless.
Worth remembering that plurality races in Vermont are decided by the legislature in a contingent election. However, the longstanding precedent is to elect the top vote-getter regardless of party.
