Remember when Rivals or 247 got busted posting and rating a fake prospect? Had them rated and didn’t even exist. Those websites have always been a scam. The star system is a joke.
I know it may be rich for me, who worked at a Rivals site for two years, to be the one making this point. But I remember sitting in this press conference, Cignetti’s intro at IU, and having a real-time shift in my thinking surrounding it.

Why does it matter if he did? The issue here is you have to prove it. While I think he was likely screwing with Ole Miss it is possible for a player to heal up and have them at type of progression. Unless the QB says it was a joke you can’t prove. He can hide behind HIPAA.

And for just another game. You know how some people are addicted to gambling and will do it until it destroys their life? Prices for an ordinary game like this prove many are addicted to CFB. Kiffin and the schools are being rewarded for their shenanigans leading into this.
The cheapest ticket for this weekend’s LSU-Ole Miss game is $620 and the average purchase price over the last 24 hours is $811.
That makes it the most expensive event ever in the state of Mississippi.

Coaching salaries need to be capped as well! The issue with dissenters of the bill is they would still oppose because they can’t scam the players for as much $$ as they are able to now. No coach at a public school should make 10M from school unless the school doesn’t take tax $!
This week, PCSA co-sponsor Maria Cantwell (D) issued a report on "runaway expenses" in college athletics from 2005-23.
But her bill only caps one type of expense -- rev-share $$ with athletes -- that wasn't even a thing yet until 2025.

Your opposition to this is the agent/lawyer playbook to continue the lawsuits and not fix the issues. What would you propose to fix this? Maybe because the fix would hurt agents ability to scam the players? Constant musical chairs doesn’t help players get a degree and develop.

When and why did the "free-markets advocate" who said an antitrust exemption is a "Trojan horse" go from believing that the "NCAA is broken" and that "America thrives on competition, not cozy cartels blessed by D.C." to one of the biggest backers of a bill that blesses such a cozy cartel?
Is this really about "saving college sports" or something else? If the mission remains the same, then why did Campbell tell us not to fall for the Trojan horse, only to, one year later, put his full support behind it?

Tony Dungy and Bill Polian are among the eliminated Pro Football Hall of Fame voters on a list released by fellow former voter Paul Kuharksy on Wednesday.
The move to downsize the voter pool was announced following the naming of the 2026 class, which omitted former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. Other eliminated voters include Frank Cooney and John McClain after their 33 years in the role as well as Lisa Salters.

This is true, which is sexist because there are pretty women who could actually do a legit job that is worth six figures. I’m genuinely curious how many of these women was propositioned by executives and told to put out to get the role. Those interviews are a waste of time.
To create media roles for women in football and give execs an excuse to interview beautiful women and dangle six-figure jobs in front of them.
