I find it strange to our known laid down procedures for creating a new District. This unpalatable and provoking proposal begs for a District resolution and the Minister of Local Government attaches to motion for Parliament to process it, otherwise its a joke

To the men and women with whom I served, I say a big thank you. Together, we scaled the plains of Kitgum, the Kilak Hills of Gulu, the Zoka forests of Amuru, the dense forests of the Congo, the deserts of Somalia, and the vast plains of South Sudan and the Central African Republic, all in search of peace and stability, not only for the people of Uganda, but for our entire region. Wherever duty called, we went. We answered the call without hesitation. Today, it is not only Uganda celebrating the peace and stability we helped build. Our neighbours are celebrating too. To every man and woman who stood beside me through those difficult years, thank you for your courage, sacrifice, loyalty and service. We served together. We endured together. And together, we made a difference.

THE WOMAN WHO TURNED MY DREAM INTO REALITY. Many people both family and friends have had different theories about how I got to meet Mzee @KagutaMuseveni Today, let me reveal the story myself. And I believe it is important to appreciate someone who touched my life while she is still alive to hear it. Mama @JanetMuseveni seeing you back and in good health fills my heart with gratitude. I met Mama Janet at Emmanuel Cathedral Rushere in 2017, where she was the Chief Guest at an AFRISA graduation. When I miraculously got to her, she asked me what I wanted. I told her, “Mama, my dream is to meet the President.” She then told one of her soldiers to write down my telephone number. The following day, Sunday, I received a call from her people, who picked me up from home and took me to Rwakitura. When I arrived, they took me to her and she did not send anyone to take me to Mzee. She personally took me straight to him and told him that my dream was to meet him. The President gave me his time, we talked and that encounter changed the course of my life. Since then, I have remained in touch with him and my life has never been the same. When I heard about your illness Mama, I was deeply hurt. I had never fasted in my life, but I did because you changed my life without giving me anything material. You fulfilled a dream, opened a door and unknowingly changed my destiny. Mama, I will never forget that act of kindness. Mama, you are a true mother. May God continue to protect you and grant you many more years of good health and touching the lives of others the same way you touched mine. Speaker @ObothOboth has made a call to end the stigma surrounding mental health challenges and promised renewed legislative focus on the issue. Closing the fourth Mental health camp organized by the Uganda Parliamentary Forum on Mental Health, Speaker Oboth noted that the prevailing stigma often prevents open discussion on the topic, despite it being a "fact of life" that can arrive at anyone's doorstep.
