डीएमआरसी ने सेंट्रल विस्टा कॉरिडोर के शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशन पर निर्माण कार्य आरंभ किया दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉरपोरेशन (डीएमआरसी) ने आज सेंट्रल विस्टा कॉरिडोर के अंतर्गत शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशन पर निर्माण कार्य आरंभ किया। शिवाजी स्टेडियम स्टेशन का निर्माण फेज़-V(A) के अंतर्गत जनकपुरी पश्चिम से आर.के. आश्रम मार्ग तक मौजूदा मैजेंटा लाइन के विस्तार के एक भाग के रूप में किया जा रहा है। माननीय उपराज्यपाल, दिल्ली, सरदार तरनजीत सिंह संधू की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में इस कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ हुआ। इस अवसर पर माननीय उपराज्यपाल, जो सुरक्षित, सुगम, निर्बाध और पर्यावरण-अनुकूल सार्वजनिक परिवहन को निरंतर बढ़ावा देते रहे हैं तथा स्वयं भी अनेक अवसरों पर आवागमन के लिए मेट्रो का उपयोग करते हैं, ने कहा, “आज शिवाजी स्टेडियम साइट पर कार्य का शुभारंभ दिल्ली मेट्रो की विकास यात्रा में एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि है। मैंने उस दौर की दिल्ली भी देखी है, जब यहाँ मेट्रो नहीं थी। मेट्रो के आगमन और उसके निरंतर विस्तार ने दिल्ली की तस्वीर बदल दी है। दिल्ली मेट्रो की प्रगति और विस्तार की इस यात्रा को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए हम हर आवश्यक सहयोग और सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध हैं।” शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशन एक भूमिगत स्टेशन होगा और एक महत्त्वपूर्ण इंटरचेंज सुविधा प्रदान करेगा। यहाँ मैजेंटा लाइन के नए स्टेशन को 230 मीटर लंबी भूमिगत सब-वे के माध्यम से मौजूदा शिवाजी स्टेडियम एयरपोर्ट एक्सप्रेस लाइन स्टेशन के साथ निर्बाध रूप से जोड़ा जाएगा। इससे यात्रियों को दोनों मेट्रो कॉरिडोरों के बीच सुविधाजनक इंटरचेंज की सुविधा प्राप्त होगी। इसके अतिरिक्त, शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशन को ट्रैवलेटरयुक्त 800 मीटर लंबी भूमिगत सब-वे के माध्यम से राजीव चौक मेट्रो स्टेशन से जोड़ा जाएगा। इससे यात्रियों को दोनों स्टेशनों के बीच निर्बाध और सुविधाजनक पैदल संपर्क उपलब्ध होगा। नए शिवाजी स्टेडियम स्टेशन की डायाफ्राम वॉल लगभग 38 मीटर गहरी होगी, जो लगभग 12 मंजिला भवन की ऊँचाई के बराबर है। स्टेशन का निर्माण मौजूदा एयरपोर्ट एक्सप्रेस लाइन के नीचे किया जाना है, इसलिए इतनी अधिक गहराई पर निर्माण आवश्यक हो गया है। फलस्वरूप, आगामी शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशन पर निर्माण कार्य की प्रगति के साथ निर्माण-संबंधी वाहनों की आवाजाही भी काफी अधिक रहने की संभावना है। प्रतिमाह लगभग 3,000 घनमीटर कंक्रीट की आवश्यकता होगी, जिसके लिए करीब 500 ट्रांजिट मिक्सर फेरे लगाने होंगे। इसी प्रकार, प्रतिमाह लगभग 15,000 घनमीटर मिट्टी की खुदाई के लिए करीब 750 डंपर फेरे लगाने होंगे। इस प्रकार, खुदाई से निकली सामग्री के निस्तारण के लिए प्रतिदिन लगभग 25 डंपर फेरे लगाए जाएंगे। वाहनों की अत्यधिक आवाजाही को देखते हुए आसपास की सड़कों की स्वच्छता बनाए रखने और यातायात के सुचारु प्रवाह को सुनिश्चित करने पर विशेष बल दिया जाएगा। इसके लिए खुदाई से निकली सामग्री को उचित रूप से ढकने, वाहनों के पहियों की धुलाई करने, सामग्री को सड़क पर गिरने से रोकने तथा प्रभावित सड़क-खंडों की तत्काल सफाई करने जैसे उपाय अपनाए जाएंगे। इन व्यवस्थाओं का उद्देश्य शिवाजी स्टेडियम स्टेशन पर निर्माण कार्य को निर्बाध रूप से जारी रखते हुए यात्रियों और स्थानीय निवासियों को होने वाली असुविधा को न्यूनतम करना है। शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशन से आसपास के क्षेत्रों में कार्यरत कर्मचारियों, स्कूली विद्यार्थियों, गुरुद्वारा बंगला साहिब आने वाले श्रद्धालुओं तथा एयरपोर्ट एक्सप्रेस लाइन पर यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को विशेष रूप से लाभ मिलने की संभावना है। यहाँ निर्माण कार्य की जिम्मेदारी मैसर्स एफकॉन्स इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर लिमिटेड को सौंपी गई है। सेंट्रल विस्टा कॉरिडोर की कुल लंबाई लगभग 9.913 किलोमीटर होगी और इसमें नौ भूमिगत स्टेशन होंगे: शिवाजी स्टेडियम, युगे युगीन भारत, केंद्रीय सचिवालय, कर्तव्य भवन, इंडिया गेट, वॉर मेमोरियल–हाई कोर्ट, बड़ौदा हाउस, भारत मंडपम और इंद्रप्रस्थ। सेंट्रल विस्टा कॉरिडोर के अंतर्गत शिवाजी स्टेडियम मेट्रो स्टेशन पर निर्माण कार्य का आरंभ मध्य नई दिल्ली में मेट्रो संपर्क के विस्तार की दिशा में एक और महत्त्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि है। इसी कॉरिडोर के केंद्रीय सचिवालय मेट्रो स्टेशन पर निर्माण कार्य 24 जून, 2026 को आरंभ किया गया था। सेंट्रल विस्टा कॉरिडोर के निर्माण से प्रमुख सरकारी कार्यालयों, न्यायिक संस्थानों, राष्ट्रीय स्मारकों और सम्मेलन स्थलों तक संपर्क सुदृढ़ हो सकेगा। इसके साथ ही, मध्य नई दिल्ली में मेट्रो नेटवर्क का एकीकरण, परिचालन दक्षता और यात्रियों की समग्र सुविधा भी बेहतर बन सकेगी।

DMRC COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION WORK AT SHIVAJI STADIUM METRO STATION FOR CENTRAL VISTA CORRIDOR The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) today commenced construction work at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station as part of the Central Vista Corridor. The Shivaji Stadium station is being developed under Phase V(A) as part of the extension of the existing Magenta Line from Janakpuri West to R.K. Ashram Marg. The event was graced by the august presence of Sardar Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor who has been consistently pushing for safe, seamless and eco friendly public transport and himself uses Metro to commute on many instances said, "The commencement of work at the Shivaji Stadium site today marks a major milestone for the Delhi Metro. Having seen Delhi before the Metro existed, its expansion has truly transformed the city. We remain fully committed to providing all necessary support and cooperation to ensure its continued progress and expansion." The Shivaji Stadium Metro Station will be an underground station and will serve as an important interchange facility, where the new Magenta Line station will be seamlessly integrated with the existing Shivaji Stadium Airport Express Line station through a 230-metre-long underground subway, enabling convenient interchange between the two Metro corridors. In addition, Shivaji Stadium Metro Station will be connected to Rajiv Chowk Metro Station through an 800-metre-long underground subway equipped with travelators, providing seamless and convenient pedestrian connectivity for commuters between the two stations. The diaphragm wall at the new Shivaji Stadium station will be at a depth of about 38 metres, which would be equivalent to the height of a 12-storey building. Construction at such depth has been necessitated since the station will be below the existing Airport Express Line alignment. Therefore, construction activities at the upcoming Shivaji Stadium Metro Station are expected to involve significant movement of construction vehicles as the work progresses. Around 3,000 cubic metres of concrete per month will require approximately 500 transit mixer trips per month, while excavation of nearly 15,000 cubic metres per month will necessitate the movement of about 750 dumper trips per month resulting, in the use of 25 dumper trips per day for disposal of excavated material. Given the high volume of vehicle movement, special emphasis will be placed on maintaining cleanliness of the surrounding roads and ensuring smooth traffic flow. Measures such as proper covering of excavated material, wheel washing, prevention of material spillage and immediate cleaning of affected road stretches will be adopted. The arrangements are aimed at minimizing inconvenience to commuters and local residents while ensuring uninterrupted progress of construction work at Shivaji Stadium Station. The Shivaji Stadium Metro station is expected to significantly benefit employees working in the surrounding areas, school students, devotees visiting Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, and passengers travelling on the Airport Express Line. M/s Afcons Infrastructure Limited has been entrusted with the responsibility of carrying out the construction work here. The Central Vista Corridor spans approximately 9.913 km and will have nine underground stations, namely: Shivaji Stadium, Yuge Yugeen Bharat, Central Secretariat, Kartavya Bhawan, India Gate, War Memorial–High Court, Baroda House, Bharat Mandapam, and Indraprastha. The commencement of work at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station under the Central Vista Corridor marks another milestone in expanding Delhi Metro connectivity in central New Delhi. The construction work at Central Secretariat Metro Station under the same corridor was commenced on June 24, 2026. The development of the Central Vista Corridor will strengthen connectivity to key government offices, judicial institutions, national memorials and convention facilities, while enhancing network integration, operational efficiency and overall passenger convenience across central New Delhi.

Hi, The drain cover will be restored by PWD, and necessary coordination is underway. Regular water sprinkling is being carried out on MB Road, Khanpur for dust suppression. The issue of wrong-side traffic is being regularly taken up with Delhi Traffic Police for necessary action. The inconvenience caused is regretted.

नमस्कार, उक्त शिकायत के संबंध में अवगत कराना है कि MB Road पर धूल नियंत्रण (Dust Mitigation) हेतु नियमित रूप से पानी के स्प्रिंकलर/टैंकर द्वारा पानी का छिड़काव किया जा रहा है।आमजन एवं यात्रियों को होने वाली असुविधा को कम करने के लिए आवश्यक कार्रवाई लगातार की जा रही है। मेट्रो निर्माण कार्य के कारण हुई असुविधा के लिए खेद है।
