Virtually all of the people who testified against trump were Republicans or his family members. ( @Mike_Pence , @MarkMeadows , etc). Could you explain that?!?!

All true, but the president of the United States is, unfortunately, a schmuck.
The term 'Shylock' evokes a centuries-old antisemitic trope about Jews and greed that is extremely offensive and dangerous. President Trump's use of the term is very troubling and irresponsible. It underscores how lies and conspiracies about Jews remain deeply entrenched in our country. Words from our leaders matter and we expect more from the President of the United States.

Pete Hegseth just gutted the system troops use to report wrongdoing. The military’s Inspector General is how a service member safely reports fraud, abuse, a dangerous commander, or a sexual assault, often anonymously, without fear of retaliation. Hegseth’s overhaul strips that anonymity, lets “non-credible” complaints get tossed, and flags anyone who files too often. He calls the old system “weaponized," yet offered no evidence. A junior enlisted troop who sees something wrong just lost their safest way to say so. That doesn't protect the force. It protects the people at the top. military.com/pete-hegseth-an…

Texas law requires officials to let a legislator review government records for official purposes. Hinojosa requested unredacted Abbott–Musk communications (heavily redacted earlier as “intimate and embarrassing”). Officials refused, so she sued. The refusal of a clear legal duty, while Musk’s companies receive major Texas benefits and large donations flow to Republican figures, shows basic governance obligations are being ignored. The real kicker, as it that’s not enough - AG Paxton who just got $158M from Musk gets to decide what’s released. Texas “shall” provide versus “my donor would hate it and it’s bad for me and my party”. Who wins? Not Texas. End Citizens United
Gina Hinojosa sued “Attorney General” @GregAbbott_TX today. The lawsuit is baseless and nothing more than an embarrassing act of desperation. Gina is abusing her office for political purposes.

I was proud to partner with @SenBlumenthal today for a call with President Zelenskyy to hear firsthand about the challenges Ukraine faces on the battlefield. His message remains clear: Ukraine wants peace. Degrading Ukraine’s satellite communications, weakening its air defenses and easing sanctions against Russia only embolden Putin and prolong this war.   @ZelenskyyUa confirmed ongoing Starlink disruptions, reported interruptions to critical U.S. intelligence sharing and raised concerns about delays in air defense interceptors. He also reiterated his willingness to halt strikes on Russian energy facilities if Putin agrees to do the same.   Congress has overwhelmingly supported tough sanctions against those enabling Putin’s war. We remain committed to standing with Ukraine and our European allies to end Russia’s brutal aggression and secure lasting peace.

Recent reports on Starshield satellite communication disruptions in Ukraine raise serious concerns and must be investigated.   I joined @SenatorShaheen, @SenThomTillis, and six of our Senate colleagues in calling for the @DeptofWar Inspector General to determine what happened with this critical capability and protect American personnel. It remains in our national interest to help Ukraine defend itself from Putin’s aggression.

It’s no longer about party… unless politicians sound alike they’re advocating for the 80% over the top 20% So, here, MAGA both trampled the Capitol with government support and pushes the same policies that have led Europe to stampede. Voting red results in you being poorer, more angry, less heard, and less likely to recover anytime soon. Voting red gets Florida closer to France.

Does the burden shift? I think this is the interesting thing in the DOJ's lawsuit against California over voter rolls. Everyone who is registered to vote in California provided the proof of citizenship that is required under CA law and federal law: They checked the box saying they're a U.S. citizen. And they signed a statement under penalty of law. The federal government now says: we have strong suspicions that these 20,000 people are NOT citizens. But we don't have conclusive proof. So the question is: - Does the burden shift to the voter to provide MORE evidence of citizenship than is required by law in order to stay a valid voter? Or - Does the burden rest with the government to conclusively prove not a citizen before taking any action against voter? I've always understood it to be that election officials would treat all voters the same until we had conclusive proof to do otherwise. I'd be surprised if the courts considered the government's "strong suspicion" to be enough to deny equal access to a constitutionally-protected right.

1. MAGA Texas leadership is in lock step with Trump. That collapses federalism. It prevents representation. It’s killing American checkbooks. America no likey. 2. Russian bot farms blew up so organic voters can actually see who TX Ds are (not what trolls claim them to be) and cannot see what MAGA Texas offers because they’re all missing in action. Trans (1%) and Islam (1%) are not voting issues… but schools, hospitals, and services closing are voting issues. And they’re everywhere. 3. Paxton is objectively a terrible candidate, corrupt, criminal, and utterly devoid of character. That brings a lot of attention. People begin noticing the rest of RPT just ain’t GOP. 4. Unite doesn’t work when you’ve gutted normalcy and people don’t like what took its place. 5. TX GOP is voting TX D to avoid Paxton… and then decided to end MAGA.

Oh, and by the way, when Trump sells access, it’s regular Americans who pay the price, because it’s their interests getting ignored. Did we miss anything? youtube.com/watch?v=URhOxaYx…
