I am with Das on this one....
When you lead a movement, there is always a chance of being detained or arrested.
You know, like the people in the ongoing Delhi Protests are indeed being detained and arrested every day.
Last evening Neha Bora got picked up by the Police, thrown into an unidentified vehicle and was let off at some far off Industrial Area Police station around 50 kms away, with her phone and her bag missing.
So yes, arrests happen.
You guys have been extremely brave in taking up a face off with the most tyrannical Govt India has ever seen.
I am actually surprised that none of you have been picked up by the Police as yet, I know some other activists who have been through worse.
So obviously, arrest is something inevitable, especially since your Mumbai protest was technically a "Jail Bharo Andolan" as declared by Dipke.
It was only the kindness of Mumbai Police that no one got arrested.
Oh, the same Mumbai Police who last night went into a Congress Office and detained a bunch of Congress workers and Tribal students who had come there from Nashik to demand better facilities in the Adivashi schools.
These arrests, if they do happen, can be a part of your strategy too.
Your arrests might have two specific outcomes, both simultaneously.
More people will flock to Delhi in solidarity adding another wave of fresh footfalls.
And you don't get lathi charged.
Last time you guys were saved from a brutal onslaught of the Police with one of you sitting inside a truck and two of you sitting in J P Nadda's office.
This time it could be the Police Station.
But more importantly, the solidarity which will be generated by these arrests would be huge.
Once again, you are brave kids and have brought together a huge mass following which has led to a large protest.......it is nice to read that you aren't scared of anything.
Your Delhi Protest starts from 10th October. And I wish you all the best for the same.
Disclaimer: Meanwhile the Protests in Delhi have entered it's 5th day today. Students and activists are still being beaten and arrested daily. Waiting with baited breath to see what happens on the 10th (5 days from now), and wishing everyone taking a part in the protest that they remain safe and sound. More power to all of you 🙏🙏🙏
🚨URGENT NEWS🚨
The government is planning on arresting me, Abhijeet, Ashutosh, Ratna and other Cockroach Janta Party leaders.
If the government thinks that such dictatorial actions will work, then they are mistakened! The young generation has awakened. We appeal to everyone to continue fighting for our rights and future, with or without us. We have always been ready to face the jail or worse. But this will be a big mistake. The young will not tolerate this.
The protests must continue. People of India should ensure the biggest mobilisation starting October 10th.
