I spent this morning conferring with my leader and elder brother, General @mkainerugaba.
Our conversation ranged widely — matters of national importance, geopolitics, faith and the work ahead. He entrusted me with a couple of important assignments, which I’m excited to get on with.
The General asked about Glen and Michael, the two @UgandaMediaCent colleagues involved in the accident I mentioned yesterday. I’m glad to report that both are doing well. We thank God for keeping them safe.
I mentioned, almost in passing, that we now needed to replace the vehicle they had been travelling in.
General Kainerugaba swung into action.
Less than two hours after we parted ways, a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser arrived to support our work.
It was delivered by Colonel @ChrisOMagezi
The @MODVA_UPDF, under Gen. Kainerugaba’s leadership, has consistently believed in and supported the work of @UgandaMediaCent.
We do not take that support for granted.

Putting aside the fact the economic case for Independence of any of these countries doesn't make sense, it would be the biggest threat to national security to lose the bases in Scotland, both for the U.K. and the U.S., given the Scottish Govts stance on Nuclear Weapons.
I don't think it'll get anywhere close to it anyway, because at some point they'll be pulled aside by shadowy men in grey suits and told to calm down and behave themselves.

The United States condemns the SAF’s recent air strikes inside Chad. The violence must stop in Sudan and beyond. There is no military solution to this conflict—and absolutely no justification for expanding the violence beyond Sudan’s borders.
The parties must immediately accept a humanitarian truce, protect civilians, and allow unhindered humanitarian access. The UN Security Council must also act with urgency to ensure that the arms embargo and sanctions regime reflect the realities of the conflict today and hold those fueling and expanding this war accountable. External financial and military support to the warring parties must stop.

Tonight, I rescued renowned Genge artist Maddox, whose life sadly took a different path after he fell into depression and became addicted to drugs. As a result, he has been living on the streets.
Someone reached out to me and shared his story. After learning about his situation, I was deeply touched and decided to meet him tonight. I found him on the streets drinking, and after speaking with him, he agreed to accept help.
I am grateful that we have now begun a journey of transformation and hope. I have taken him to a rehabilitation centre for addiction treatment, where he will begin his recovery process.
Addiction is not the end of someone's story. With timely intervention, professional treatment, family support, and God's grace, recovery is possible.
I also thank everyone who reached out and alerted me about his condition. Together, we can restore hope and transform lives, one person at a time.
