Habibi, to put this into context. Uganda now has 136 districts, so this means 59 per cent of districts in this country make do without a government hospital! Women in those districts do not deliver in a hospital, if a person, say from Kampala, is involved in an accident in one of these districts, they must be rushed to the next district praying it is one of 41 per cent with a hospital! The same is true for tourists who get medical emergencies, of course!
Before Museveni became president, every district had a govt hospital, reputable govt schools, senior & junior staff quarters, a golf course, public squares (Boma Grounds, Heroes Grounds sometimes called other names) and other amenities.
The price this country pays for one man fulfilling his personal ambitions is crazy! Not many men have taken so much pride in causing such dysfunction to an entire nation - with real life-and-death consequences - just to hand power to his family!
