I don't want followers: I'm not the Messiah. I just want to vent my spleen.

Rubio's speech writers have been just about ok so far, but they're overstretching a tad here.
Athens' days as a Great Power came to an end following an ill-fated intervention in a distant land that lasted far longer than planned and required a prolonged naval commitment.

Trump: "Today is Vladimir Putin's birthday. I'm sure you're going to celebrate it. Are you going to celebrate his birthday? I have a call set up." What the hell is wrong with you?! Celebrate? You sure? The birthday of a butcher responsible for murdering 25 people in Ukraine today? Who struck an apartment building at 6 in the morning, wiping out entire families, including 5 small kids ON HIS BIRTHDAY!? You're sure you want to celebrate such a person instead of maybe mourning his victims? And they laughed in response. They fucking laughed! What the fuck is wrong with these people???

things in everyday life AI has made worse: customer service, job hiring processes, Google search functionality, finding accurate info online, relationships with colleagues who use it to read emails & then misunderstand, trust between student & professor, online shopping . . .

In what way has it made your life worse? Is seeing dumb videos that much of a stressor for you?

Trump is getting ready to lift sanctions on Russia so his family and oligarchs can make billions by purchasing Lukoil's profitable overseas assets for less than they are worth. This sale would be a bribe from Putin. That is all Trump wants.

As usual, Rubio's statement was clear and made sense, and Trump clearly has no idea what he's talking about.
NEW: Trump now says there were “some threats” to B1s at Fairford and “rather than tempt the enemy… we moved them around a little bit, not very far.” Comes after Rubio played down direct threat, but US officials briefing possibility of drone strikes and rapid decision to evac

Trump on Russia: They call it pneumonia. Pneumonia, you know, years ago you could treat pneumonia easier. The microbes and the germs have gotten stronger disproportionately

Only problem with that Dan, is you've still got the ~20 KC-135 tankers at RAF Mildenhall, and the dozens more F-15E and F-35A jets at RAF Lakenheath... If the risk is in the UK, surely those other aircraft need to be moved too? Or perhaps it's not about that at all...

This is the point. I think we've done a pretty good job of playing Trump's stupid Pong game. The bombers couldn't be leaving if they weren't here in the first place. Why would anyone in the UK blame the UK for the messed up situation that he has caused and continues to cause?

Our allies are not who they used to be either, we must acknowledge that they have proven untrustworthy and unreliabel too, especially over Ukraine.

“Abortion must be illegal” A woman wanted an abortion 4 months in after finding out the fetus had no skull. She was told no. Abortion was illegal. She was forced to give birth, and so she did. The baby was born. It couldn’t breath. The mother cried. It suffered for minutes. It died. You are not pro-life. You are pro-control.

My brother Kris would have been 53 today. He was a Royal Navy fighter pilot, flying the FA2 Sea Harrier from our aircraft carriers and then the Harrier GR9. He flew 160 missions in Afghanistan. Lieutenant Commander Kris Ward. In November 2018 he took the decision to end his own life soon after his 45th birthday. No matter how well you think your friends and family are doing, dig a little deeper. Be there for them. They may need your help. When it’s too late it’s too late.

The United States of America is intentionally attempting to break apart the most successful alliance in the post war world. This will hurt our national security & interests dramatically. On the other hand, it will make Vladimir Putin very happy. Which I guess is the entire point.
If the Baltic states, the UK and France are not invited to discuss the state of NATO with the USA, then the other European NATO states should refuse to attend as well. European security needs to be seen as a whole, only Putin (and Trump) wants to divide it up. politico.com/news/2026/09/30…
