Today marks 25 years since the September 11 attacks on our nation. Patti and I will never forget the thousands of Americans who were taken from us that day, their loved ones, and were grateful for the first responders who ran toward danger to save others. 9/11 was a day of tremendous loss, but it was also a day when we witnessed the extraordinary resilience of the American spirit. It reminded us that even in our darkest moments, courage, compassion, and love can overcome hate and division. May we always remember those we lost, and carry that spirit forward.

The Iran war has lasted six months. Trump and Hegseth told us we'd only be in the Middle East for four to five weeks, yet today, there is no clear end in sight. From the beginning, I warned that this illegal war of choice was launched without congressional authorization, and without honest answers about its cost. Six months of war is six months too long.
