The Ratepayer Protection Act passed the House 417–3 to protect ratepayers from infrastructure costs driven by new data centers. Georgia families cannot afford to wait while Washington debates. Hearing from the parents and siblings of Sickle Cell Warriors we have lost was deeply saddening, but also a powerful reminder of why this work matters. At our inaugural Congressional Sickle Cell Disease Caucus briefing, we heard about the many barriers Warriors face when seeking emergency care and discussed possible solutions to address them. Sickle cell is different for every patient. We need greater sickle cell literacy among health care professionals so Warriors are heard, understood and treated based on their individual needs.

People across my district keep asking me the same question: “Is AI going to take my job?” It is a fair question, and hardworking Americans deserve clarity. AI will create more opportunity than it displaces, from medicine and manufacturing to the skilled trades. Every great technological revolution has created disruption, before leading to decades and centuries of new prosperity. The answer is not for Congress to rush in with sweeping new regulations that pick winners and losers, kill American innovation, and hand China an advantage. Our job is to enforce the rules already on the books, protect Americans, and give the private sector room to build, compete, and keep the United States ahead of our adversaries. America should lead the AI revolution, not regulate itself out of it.
