HERE IS HOW YOU END UP “HOLDING YOUR NOSE” IN NOVEMBER: STEP 1: A Republican incumbent repeatedly breaks with the voters who elected them. STEP 2: Conservatives complain online but fail to recruit a serious primary challenger. STEP 3: Nobody builds the organization, raises the money or gathers the signatures early enough. STEP 4: The incumbent enters the primary with millions of dollars, party connections, name recognition and years of constituent data. STEP 5: Most Republican voters ignore the primary because they are waiting for “the important election” in November. STEP 6: A tiny fraction of the district decides the Republican nominee. Look at the actual numbers: MARIA ELVIRA SALAZAR: FL-27 Salazar publicly attacked President Trump’s immigration enforcement, saying it had gone “too far” and was alienating Hispanic voters. She won the 2026 Republican primary with 28,914 votes against 6,642 for her challenger. Only 35,556 Republicans participated in that primary. Compare that with the 329,867 people who voted in the district’s 2024 general election. Republican primary participation was equivalent to only 10.8% of that general-election voting base. In other words, roughly one voter out of every nine who participated in the previous general election helped decide who would carry the Republican banner into the next one. BRIAN FITZPATRICK: PA-01 Fitzpatrick has opposed President Trump on major tax legislation, tariffs and war powers. He even stayed away from Trump’s midterm convention while continuing to market himself as one of Washington’s most bipartisan congressmen. In 2024, Fitzpatrick defeated conservative challenger Mark Houck with 45,052 votes to 28,180. Only about 73,200 Republicans participated in that primary, compared with 463,432 total voters in the general election - just 15.8% of the November voting base. Then, after all the complaints about his record, Fitzpatrick faced NO Republican primary challenger in 2026. No challenger. No real contest. No opportunity to replace him. ZACH NUNN: IA-03 Nunn recently joined Democrats in voting to restrict President Trump’s war powers in Iran. Whatever your opinion of that specific vote, conservatives who objected to his record had their opportunity before November. But Nunn faced NO Republican primary opponent in 2026. He received approximately 48,300 votes while running uncontested. Compare that with 412,905 candidate votes cast in the district’s 2024 general election. His uncontested primary total was equivalent to only 11.7% of that voting base. More than 400,000 people participated when the final choice was presented - but nobody even gave Republican voters an alternative when the nominee was being chosen. DAVID VALADAO: CA-22 Valadao voted to impeach President Trump following January 6 and has continued distancing himself from Trump politically. Yet in 2026, he was the ONLY Republican running in California’s top-two primary. Valadao advanced after receiving roughly 32,500 votes. Around 79,800 total votes were cast across every candidate in the primary. For comparison, 167,507 votes were cast in the district’s 2024 general election. California subsequently redrew the district, so this is not a perfect apples-to-apples comparison - but the underlying failure remains: conservatives did not put another Republican on the primary ballot. You cannot defeat an incumbent with a candidate who does not exist. MARIANNETTE MILLER-MEEKS: IA-01 Miller-Meeks also joined Democrats in voting to restrict President Trump’s war powers in Iran. She defeated MAGA challenger David Pautsch 71.6% to 28.4%. Approximately 49,200 Republicans participated in that primary. Compare that with 414,078 voters in the district’s 2024 general election - primary participation equivalent to only 11.9% of the November voting base. But turnout wasn’t the only problem. Miller-Meeks entered the primary with approximately $4.2 million available. Pautsch had raised around $57,000. That means the incumbent had roughly 74 times more financial firepower than the MAGA challenger. Republicans didn’t merely wait until November. They sent their challenger into the primary badly outgunned and then acted surprised when the incumbent won. STEP 7: The primary ends. The ballot is locked. STEP 8: November arrives and conservatives suddenly start screaming, “Why are we stuck with another RINO?” Because you waited until the selection process was over. By November, the decision is no longer between a MAGA Republican and a RINO. It is between the Republican nominee and a Democrat who could hand the House back to the same people determined to obstruct President Trump for the next two years. That is when everyone tells you to “hold your nose.” But you didn’t have to hold your nose. You CHOSE to - when you ignored candidate recruitment, donated nothing, volunteered nowhere and skipped the primary. Primaries are where you replace weak Republicans. Midterms are where you stop Democrats from taking power. Why scream at the top of your lungs in November when the problem was created months earlier - and you weren’t there to prevent it?

JUST IN: I am sad to report that one of the shooting victims at the 2024 Butler Pennsylvania assassination attempt of President Trump has died. James “Jim” Copenhaver of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, has died at 76. Jim was one of the two spectators seriously wounded in the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler. Copenhaver was shot twice, once in the left arm and once in the abdomen, while seated in the bleachers. He underwent multiple surgeries for a transected colon, abdominal injuries, and related complications. Bullet fragments remained in his body, and he lived the rest of his life with permanent injuries. He survived the attack that killed firefighter Corey Comperatore and grazed Trump. In the years that followed he continued treatment, later joined a lawsuit alleging Secret Service failures at the rally, and wrote the foreword to a book about the shooting in which he reflected on how he would be remembered. He is now the second fatality connected to that day. Rest in peace Jim.🙏❤️

I'm not sure what's going on inside the White House or at RNC headquarters - but it's time for a "Come to Jesus Moment." The midterms are becoming one of the biggest excrement shows in modern political history. It's either a result of sabotage or gross incompetence. Or Both. For the RNC chair to go on national television and suggest the message for voters is that the GOP just needs more time is laughable. They've had 2 years. But instead of delivering the president's agenda, the Republican Party has squandered their time and our goodwill. Congressional Republicans need to get their heads out of their hindquarters and realize that the voters are enraged. It's clear that Establishment Republicans are intentionally slow-marching the president's agenda through the Senate. And it's also clear that President Trump's advisors don't have a clue what middle class and working class Americans are dealing with right now. And it's almost as if the administration has decided to completely write off Gen-Z voters. There's a complete and utter disconnect between the White House and America First voters. I actually interviewed a Republican congressional candidate who said the answer to higher beef prices was to eat more turkey. Completely clueless. The GOP sycophants are more interested in lining their own pockets and getting exclusive invitations to Mar-a-Lago than they are doing what's best for the country. And what is best for the country is for Congress and the White House to deliver President Trump's agenda. Over the past few days I have heard a number of very sober, well-reasoned commentators on the political right talking about the midterms and related polling. They uniformly speak about the House already being a lost cause for the GOP, and they focus on whether the GOP can hold the Senate. Things do not need to be this way. Trump won in 2024 by large margins. The only reason that cannot be repeated this fall is if YOU—the average Trump voter—decides to let it happen. I know, I know, I know. Trump has not made all of your hopes and dreams come true in two years’ time. You think he has done nothing, even though he has had profound victory after profound victory in areas like immigration and downsizing the federal government. You have your pet issue that has not been satisfied to the extent you demand, so you want to “Stay home and send them a message.” Yes the GOP sucks. It’s a heinous mess of self-interest and failed status quo maintenance. But the only thing worse is the Democrat Party. We are running against LITERAL COMMUNISTS who want to abolish the Senate, pack the Supreme Court, add two new deep blue states, open the borders to unlimited immigration and succumb to creeping Sharia and jihad in order to literally destroy the nation. (Plus, they will spend the next two years impeaching Trump and everyone in his orbit, fully defeating what you voted for in 2024.) So you have two choices. It’s a binary choice, there is no third option: 1. Vote for doing everything we can to pursue MAGA even if that’s not perfect. 2. Stay home and become ruled by literal Communists who want you dead. Choose. We can still win this fall, we just need the will to do it.

Barack Obama – The Most Complete Product of the Long March – The Community Organizer Who Became President. He is not the villain of this story either. He is its most gifted protagonist. The son of a Kenyan economist and a Kansas anthropologist, raised partly in Indonesia and partly in Hawaii; community organizer in Chicago; president of the Harvard Law Review; Illinois state senator; U.S. senator; President of the United States at 47. The American story working exactly as advertised – and simultaneously the most complete illustration of the Gramscian pipeline ever produced. Not a contradiction. The same thing. 1. He studied and taught the Alinsky method. Not metaphorically – literally. In Chicago in the 1980s, Obama worked as a community organizer in an environment deeply shaped by Saul Alinsky’s organizing tradition. He taught workshops on the Alinsky method and learned the mechanics of organizing: identify interests, build relationships, develop leaders, acquire power, and use organization to turn local grievances into political force. He knew the manual. He taught the manual. He then applied it at national scale – which is either the most remarkable career progression in American political history or the most complete proof of concept the Long March ever produced. Probably both. 2. The rhetorical genius was real. "Yes We Can." "Hope and Change." "We are the ones we have been waiting for." The ability to speak the language of unity while practicing the politics of organization – Alinsky’s politics of conflict and organization wrapped in the aesthetics of reconciliation. The form was post-partisan. The content was the most disciplined ideological project since Reagan – except Reagan was trying to dismantle the administrative state and Obama was building it. The speeches made you feel the argument was over. The argument was just beginning. 3. The Nobel Prize, awarded eight months into his first term – for nothing yet done – is the most complete illustration of cultural hegemony in modern political history. The performance of the correct identity, the correct values, and the correct aesthetic was sufficient, before any policy, to generate the highest international recognition available. The prize was not for what he had done. It was for what he represented. Which is precisely the point – and precisely what Gramsci had theorized seventy years earlier. 4. The institutional transformation was the substance beneath the aesthetics. Eight years produced the expansion of the administrative state into every corner of American life, the installation of a generation of ideologically aligned officials throughout the federal bureaucracy, the transformation of the regulatory apparatus, the use of executive action to achieve what legislation could not. The ratchet, applied at presidential scale. A subsequent administration could change the direction but not undo the installation – because the people installed remained, in the civil service, the judiciary, the regulatory agencies, doing what they had been placed there to do. 5. He understood, better than any politician since Reagan, that politics is culture before it is policy. The campaign was a cultural event – the logo, the fonts, the rallies, the language, the sense that something larger than politics was happening. He didn’t win because of policy positions. He won because he had changed what felt possible – and what felt possible changed what people were willing to vote for. This is Gramsci applied to electoral politics: shift the cultural assumptions first, and the political victories follow as confirmation rather than cause. 6. The luxury beliefs were structural. Harvard Law. University of Chicago. Net worth approximately seventy million dollars after leaving office. Homes in Washington, Martha’s Vineyard, and Hawaii. The man of the people who became the establishment – whose policies on immigration, criminal justice, and education were most costly for the working-class communities he had organized in Chicago. And then there is the habit of describing yourself as the challenger long after you have become the establishment. The outsider rhetoric maintained from the most powerful office in the world. It is not hypocrisy exactly – it is the organizer’s grammar surviving the organizer’s promotion. The language was learned in Chicago in the 1980s and never updated, because it still worked, and because the audience it worked on never noticed the distance between the speech and the address. 7. The honest assessment: he was extraordinarily good at what he did. The question is what he did. He took the Alinsky manual, the Gramscian strategy, the Frankfurt School’s cultural framework, and synthesized them into the most electorally successful progressive project in American history. He didn’t design the long march. He was its most gifted product – and its most effective accelerant. The institutions he found captured, he left more captured. The Overton Window he found shifted, he left shifted further. What he built – or rather, what he accelerated and consolidated – did not depend on him personally. The officials installed remain. The regulatory architecture expanded. The cultural assumptions shifted. The pipeline filled with people who wanted to be him and learned, from watching him, exactly how it was done. The most complete product of the long march became its most effective teacher.
