Heard from more than several people at this event that he and Tim O'Hare were treated like they had leprosy
Another successful Empowering Seniors events is in the books! Yesterday, hundreds of seniors came to downtown Fort Worth for various health screenings, preventative shots, health-specific vendors, and many other services focused on seniors. There were also numerous Tarrant County departments there to help seniors navigate issues that might arise - Tax Assessor Collector’s Office, Elections Administration, Dispute Resolution, etc.
You can see in the picture below a lady giving me a hug. She was telling me how much she appreciated coming to this event every year and how it helps her. It’s always such a treat to her how beneficial the event is for those in our community.
A HUGE thanks to my Precinct 3 Team (Ron, Ariana, Maria, Mike, and our maintenance shed folks) and the office of Judge O’Hare. Also, the event couldn’t happen without scores of volunteers and sponsors. Thank you to each and every one of you for helping make this year a success.
And a final note, I want to once again recognize and honor my predecessor, Gary Fickes. It was his vision many years ago that led to the creation of Empowering Seniors. We stand on his shoulders and are so grateful for his legacy of service.
