This is extremely disappointing. The women of Afghanistan are treated as sub-human. The girls are denied and education. Child marriage and mental, physical and sexual abuse are rife. We ask the ECB to stand with Afghan women and girls without compromise. England to allow stars to play in Afghan T20 despite stance on Taliban thetimes.com/article/1764e5c…

So much comes down to a positive definition of women, as people in their own right with their own interests, being recast as an attack on the only people who matter. To women only existing to offer or withhold service, never to care for themselves or be cared for.

🔴 Day 1,810 since secondary schools closed to girls in Afghanistan. The Taliban has spent five years trying to erase Afghan women from public life, while the world looks away. The effects of their segregation will last for generations. You are not forgotten. #Afghanistan #LetAfghanGirlsLearn

The pillory is ready in the town square in Moss, Norway. The pillory was a form of public punishment. People were displayed in the town square while crowds spat at them, shouted at them and humiliated them. The point was not merely punishment. It was public humiliation. The crowd was meant to participate in the degradation of the person locked into the pillory. Everyone was supposed to understand what happens when you step out of line. That is how you teach a population to conform. The pillory was abolished because such physical punishments were considered degrading, barbaric and incompatible with a more modern and humane justice system. For the city of Moss the pillory has been brought back to the town square. And right now, a young lesbian woman is in it. Her “crime”? Building Moss Pride — a local initiative independent of the organization FRI. She and a few other volunteers wanted to create their own Pride programme in the city where they live — and have ownership of that programme. They invited LHB Norge and Hungry Hearts to Moss Pride 2026. And then came the backlash. Not just from local activists and queer activists from Oslo. Now local political parties and organizations have joined in. Moss SV. Moss Rødt. HEF Moss. And Rødt in Trondheim The message is clear: No LGB without T. No lesbians saying that men cannot be lesbians at Moss Pride. Not in our town. The young lesbian woman in the pillory could take no more. She has resigned, apologized and accepted blame. She is stepping down as leader of the project she has spent four years building. I understand why. When a young person is left standing completely alone while the Moss mob tears her apart — and not a single adult steps in — it is not hard to understand why she wants to get away. But a public pillory works differently today than it did in the 17th and 18th centuries. Social media makes sure of that. Choices made today can follow a person for years. And the message from the Moss mob is clear: Too little, too late. What kind of community treats young, independent, free-thinking people like this? Because this was ugly. What happens to the next young lesbian, gay or bisexual person who dares to build something themselves — without T? Who dares to create their own project and invite Hungry Hearts? Who dares to organize a local Pride on their own terms? Who dares to say: “I want to decide what happens in the project I built.” The pillory is ready in the town square in Moss. @MossKommune @mossavis @lgbinternationl @AllianceLGB @ActiveLesbians @LesbianLabour @ScotLesbians @againstgrmrs @ThefantasticsL @WDI_UK

After many years of having to reiterate what used to be basic points about human biology, I am very relieved to see that the public mockery portion of our fight is in full swing. You may recall that in 2018 I was permanently banned from then-Twitter for saying “Men aren’t women” and for referring to a man as “him,” as well as for asking questions like, “What’s the difference between a ‘transwoman’ and a man?” Now, thrillingly, we are not only permitted to say such things on the internet, but we’re allowed to actually joke about the nonsense idea of allowing men who announce they are women to play in the WNBA.

It's probably Writesonic which writes all those long posts ending exactly the same in structure, rhythm, and emphases that I read from many different posters. Not sure if we can avoid a world where the AIs carry out most conversations with each other in social media? 😉

Interesting. So if you were a female warrior you were trans. If you were a female pharaoh you were trans. And other activists have argued that many famous women were really trans. Or at least nonbinary. This is the most sexist&regressive new ideology ever. Very anti-feminist.

I've read another two today, written with precisely the same pattern. The personal writing voices are disappearing.
What's the AI now widely used for long essays? A pattern of a few short statement sentences ("not A, not B, not C"), then a much longer one ("but D"), usually in 1st & last paras. Its so common that I now spot the pattern & feel I'm reading one author, not many different ones.

Absolutely essential read in this current climate. Please share widely and respond with comments, this is not getting the airing it deserves. When, when will deal with "trans" as the public emergency it is? The court heard that on each occasion, he contacted the generic email address for the school and threatened to carry out deadly attacks supposedly in response to the treatment of transwomen. He described this treatment as oppression and tyranny... “I am on my way to the school with a revolver and a machete and I’m going to shoot and stab all of your girls. You terfs are going to learn to stop mocking, deadnaming and misgendering transwomen like me. If anyone attempts to stop me, they will be shot and I will release a blood agent into the school which will poison you.” He went on to reference the tyranny and oppression of transwomen and threatened to shoot anyone who tried to stop him, adding that the only way to stop him would be for all girls and women in Southport and Merseyside to publicly apologise. @JChimirie66677 @SexMattersOrg @ProtectTeach @MartinDaubney @GBNEWS @ForWomenScot @WomensRightsNet @ProtectTeach @SafeSchools_UK @OurDutyUK @BayswaterSG @JuliaHB1 @Iromg @danwootton @NickBuckleyMBE Look to the next message for links to the story in the Southport lead where the above quotes come form and the BBC where they remove all references to Trans. IT IS ALL RELATED.

The gender identity def of 'women' creates a slightly different individual dilemma, though: Once female sex is not the basis for being a woman, what am I agreeing to if I choose 'woman' in filling forms? That I'm feminine? That I accept traditional gender norms for women?
Replying to @glosswitch
I find this suggestion that women personally feel their "womanhood" or "identity" is erased if they can't talk about it in class terms really odd. It's not an individual loss rooted in insecurity, but a collective one rooted in political consciousness.

.@TEDTalks cancelled my talk about women’s rights conflicting with men like this, as soon as it was announced. @TEDTalks platformed him. @TEDTalks de-platformed me. I’m an Olympic champion; I have lived experience of sport. I’m a civil rights lawyer & author; w expertise on women’s rights. I’ve taught Sports Law for 20 years. It’s galling.
