Colorado’s 4.4% flat tax and strict spending limits helped fuel decades of growth. Democratic Socialists now want to nearly double the top tax rate and drive successful small businesses out. Call it the California-ization of Colorado. Rocky Mountain high taxes are coming.

Conservatives build it then lazy commies and socialists burn it down. Colorado was successful because of low taxes and smaller government. Most people who lived in Colorado were hard working, middle class and practical.

Colorado has been destroyed by the left. We have a much higher tax than indicated - just renamed as “fees”. The cost of living is outrageous

We left 4 years ago. Feels good to have got out. They are power hungry radical communists. They have to be defeated in every state in the USA and shipped to China (the mother ship). They will love it there.

Colorado has been spending over $100 Million dollars per year on illegal aliens. Can't print more money, got to tax U.S. citizens instead.

And the brackets are not indexed for inflation! Yeah…you’re going to get an extra $100-$200 in your refund check this year if you make under $100k. After 5 years virtually everyone will pay more. Democrats write laws for the lowest common denominator. Aka stupid people.

Californians made California suck to the point they cant stand it. They go to a different state, continue voting as they voted in California, and then they're surprised: wtf has happened?

The problem with celebrating "decades of growth" is decades of growth. People in rural America are seeing a flood of liberals, along with their politics. The result is, formerly peaceful, towns crammed full of apartments, housing developments, replacing farms & open spaces w/out the supporting infrastructure for roads, schools & municipal services. Property taxes & taxes in general skyrocket as liberals put Democrats in charge & the developers enjoy the profits from the growth. Solve for that.

For most people that tax rate will go down from 4.4 to close to four cause it’s staggered until the wealthy leave and then they’ll have to raise taxes to cover the short fall.

This is a huge win. I can’t wait to remind you rich assholes that you still need to work for a living like the rest of us. Let’s crank up the heat until all these rich assholes are boiled off.

Once it gets passed, they can lower the income thresholds via committee vote as well (I think), so everyone gets taxed more. Set up this way to trick the dummies into voting it in.

The blue hair, nose ring crowd will vote it in, small businesses will be crushed and will pass on increased costs to the consumer, making all goods and services more expensive for the blue hair nose, ring crowd!!

The graduated tax is fair and I’m willing to pay it. Should be a sure thing. We just hope the state spends it well

I see another ballot measure with a two line chart at the bottom coming… if you earn less than 500K, you will pay $0 in new taxes…if you earn more than 500K, you will pay $$$$$ in new taxes. Their weaponization of the moral hazard problem in economics by the m@rxists is going to result in the same thing it has in every other state that tried the same… the departure of the most productive workers that support the lazy and low skilled workers. Well, maybe the potheads and illegals will step up and support the mess that is Colorado😆😆😆

Cut capital gains tax - you shouldn’t be penalized for taking risk. Also, eliminate taxes on treasury securities - that would be a much easier way to drive down interest costs.

When I moved to Colorado in the 1970s, a popular bumper sticker was, "don't Californicate Colorado". It took some time, but they did it anyway.

Two decades behind California’s trajectory, but there future is easily knowable by looking west to the abject failure of California under Newsom and the Democrat supermajority.

We are taxing utilities to fund unneeded railroads and deer crossings. Trump has done more to reduce gangs and crime in CO than our elected ldrs. CO may be a lost cause but hope the rest of the country does right Long Live MAGA
