I *cannot* believe this was real. These colors were real. I've never seen such a deep blue Aurora before. I've seen blue Aurora, but my goodness this was something else. What a beautiful night. Alien Mothership 🛸 Never-before-seen video I captured of the incredible Beaver, Oklahoma supercell on June 25, 2026. This absolute mothership of a storm churned across the Oklahoma Panhandle for several hours, producing a cone tornado shortly after this timelapse.

Neat sounding-evolution example of warm air advection across North Dakota today ahead of weak northwestern troughing. Note the enlarging hodograph and moistening low-levels. A decent bout of synoptic stratiform rain is the result. #NDwx

That was the most disappointing Colorado fall leaf peeping I think I have ever experienced. This drought has virtually destroyed so much of the Aspen Forest fall color this year. There are pockets of really good color at times, especially around Breckenridge, but my goodness this is brutal. So many Aspen sections have just entirely shed their leaves or still green. I was very shocked but unsurprised especially with Aspen (lower elevation) to Mount Elbert area around Twin Lakes as well as Kenosha pass. #cowx
