🎉 Finally ready to announce @appshotss 2.0 release!
This update comes with a lot of changes that completely re-designs how you use AppShots to create stunning store screenshots in minutes!
From an very intuitive and easy to use design editor to 3d frames, every user flow, every small interaction has been polished to give the best user experience, and stop you from double thinking about how to achieve something within the editor.
Here's a demo I've prepared that goes through most of the critical updates in this release. Give it a try, and I'm sure you'll love this new flow for designing store screenshots!
With these release, I'm also for the first time introducing students/indie-builders discount for AppShots! I believe everyone deserves good app store screenshots😄

ok why do github artifacts take like forever to download!!?🫠
This thing has been running for last half an hr and not even halfway there :(
anyone got an idea abt this? or a faster way to download these artifacts from gh actions?
@appshotss: A breath of fresh air🥳! Finally, I don't have to struggle with Appshots for the Play Store and Apple Store.
I had tried it and liked it in the past, but v2 is even more sophisticated🔥(custom templates, 3D frames, Figma-like sidebar, etc).
So happy with how the save->change template workflow is now set up in @appshotss
You can easily save your custom designs as templates, and use those templates later when adding new frames or changing their designs.
Time reduction from Minutes -> Seconds🔥

149 commits, and around 90k loc updates within 2weeks for @appshotss 2.0 build!🫠
This would've easily taken at least more than a month while working multiple hrs a day but not anymore!🔥
Proud of these little design detail when talking about localizations on @appshotss site that shows "Hello" in different languages! I feel like it adds some personality to the site rather than just having regular feature talk.
We built an app where everyone gets the same photo quest each day.
Something red. A patch of sky. A cat, a quiet corner.
You snap your answer, then see how everyone else answered it.
What We Saw is out now on iOS & Android.
What should tomorrow's quest be?
Was able to reduce the bounce rate drastically in the last 7 days for appshots site, and it's only improving from here🙌
That means visitors are now clicking around the site, and checking things out!🙌
Just replaced a 60-70 loc fix that grok-4.6 (on high effort) added for a bug with my own fix, which is just 3 loc.
Where did the loc reduction come from? Just basic understanding of the underlying feature, and having a decent idea of the problem that needs to be solved.
Finally got a proper text style formatting set up that allows me to format parts of a text differently in @appshotss
Makes use of @SuprDeclarative super_editor attributed texts for partial text selections/attributions, and some custom logic for making the text block editable on canvas!
This will unlock so many varied screenshot design opportunities!!🥹
I think the polish on final product is something that'll likely separate original ideas from ai generated slop! That's why I've been trying to polish every interaction in @appshotss and adjusting ui/ux to a level that users shouldn't have to second guess think!
Getting the interaction with 3d frame here was key part of that flow! I'm so happy with how this interaction is turning out🙌
