I can recommend Maggie's for brunch in South Lake tahoe. It's a little expensive, but you make up for it with free, 48 amp charging!

November is going to be battery health test month at Out of Spec. We are starting with only Tesla because they at least have a built-in, repeatable, battery health test So hold off on running battery health tests on your car! In November we will be having you all run these tests. You will submit model info and general usage (AC vs DC / daily charge limit / temperature region etc) along with the health test result. Then we can start to see how different usages / cells make a difference in capacity retention in actual cars from around the world ⚡️

Well FSD sure fucked this one up. FSD engaged (see it says self driving right there). Tesla backs up and drives right into a telephone pole.

Day 47 without our ID. Buzz. The dealer has officially doubled down on their position. They’ll replace the door they damaged, but as far as anything beyond that goes, they say their decision is final. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting on the same mechanical part we were waiting on weeks ago, the door repair can’t even begin until the mechanical repair is finished, and there are still some questions about the timeline that I want answered. At this point, I’ve stopped expecting the dealership to voluntarily make this right. That doesn’t mean I’m done. Quite the opposite. I’ve spent the last few days doing my homework, documenting everything, and figuring out what comes next. For now, we wait for a few answers. 👀
I’m genuinely furious today. After everything that has happened, Perrysburg Volkswagen has now informed me that their “final decision” is $0 in compensation for the damage they caused to our nearly new ID. Buzz while it was in their care. Yes, they’re replacing the door they damaged. But fixing damage you caused isn’t compensation. It’s fixing damage you never should have caused in the first place. Their damage could add another 2–3 WEEKS to this ordeal, and we’re left with a nearly new vehicle that will have a replaced and refinished door and the potential for diminished value. Their answer? $0. I’m beyond frustrated. And at this point, my wife is completely done with Volkswagen too. I think her texts today pretty much sum up where we are: “I strongly dislike VW.” “Never buying one again.” That honestly hurts because we LOVE our ID. Buzz. We didn’t want to be done with Volkswagen. We wanted our Buzz back. Instead, it’s still not mechanically repaired, the door still needs replaced, the buyback is still unresolved, and there continues to be no real end in sight. I’ve tried to be patient. I’ve tried to be reasonable. Today, I’m just angry.
