Does anyone know the product people at Appl? Why can't Siri correctly spell the name of the person in my contacts? I am texting Steven (using voice) and it keeps spelling Stephen. WTF? AI can win Nobel prizes and discover new physics, but Apple can't cross reference within a text? Really?

especially after tomorrow, if you are wondering why every tech company is building the same thing...it's because the personal agent is the final product. the final product that you interact with to get you all future products and services, first in the digital world, and then in the physical world.

YAWN. Capitalism didn’t morph into corporatism FFS. It was replaced by it! When government gains the power to grant favors, subsidies, and bailouts, businesses will lobby for them. That’s not a failure of capitalism but the destruction of it.
Capitalism has grotesquely morphed into corporatism. Governments create a crisis and get the control. The donor corporations gets the government contract or the bailout. We get the bill.

"People aren't ready, this is gonna change everything" You know what people weren't ready for? Fucking mammoths. Tigers eating them. Monkeys ripping their arms off. The black plague. The ice age. Smallpox. Vikings pulling up on the beach. Drinking water that gives you diarrhea until you die. Getting a scratch and losing your whole leg. The Mongols. The Spanish Inquisition. One volcano can send us back to the dark ages and these safety guys are gonna be shocked. Oh the robots didn't kill us? It was a volcano? Imagine their disappointment as the hot ash rains down on them. A solar flare is gonna explode your phone in your pocket your legs are gonna be covered in battery acid and your bank account will stop working. You're afraid of a computer program doing math? "Things are moving too fast" homie you live on a rock that periodically deletes everything. You are one the most luckiest entities in a 100 light year radius living during a golden era. Cheer up. My ancestors crossed an ocean in a wooden box because they ran out of fucking potatoes. "The social disruption will be enormous!" Nigga World War 2? World War 2? Hop in the people carrier we're landing on the beach. Are these people out of their fucking minds? Do they not know what we've survived already? A couple decades of air conditioning and people suddenly think oh this is the natural condition of mankind. No. We used to have eight kids because seven didn't make it. You're gonna be fine. Man the fuck up. Accelerate.

Great insight from 67 years ago.
As Europes idiotic, bankrupt and failed political elites attempt the start a devastating War of distraction with Russia- The great Peter Sellers foretold it all in 1959 "Gentlemen, we are bankrupt, we are poised at the edge of Disaster, theres only one thing for it, War!"

Regulatory costs by Presidency: Bush 172 billion Obama 890 billion Trump 40 billion Biden 1.8 trillion Biden’s $1.8 trillion in projected regulatory costs equals approximately $5,300 per American, based on a population of roughly 340 million. Trump 2.0 has reduced regulatory costs by approximately $1.29 trillion or 3,750 dollars per American. Funny how no one talks about that.

Regulatory capture can be summarized as; companies like public cover for their sins and regulation gives them that. Politicians like having (and selling) power. An unholy alliance

"buyers are increasingly choosing Tesla because of FSD." The Y is a great car but as a car, there are any good competitors. FSD is the reason no other "car" can compete. Try it, you will buy it.

Most Grok Bots finish the work. Counsel thinks before anyone does. Grok Bot is excellent once you know what you want done. It is weak at helping you frame that the first time. Counsel is that step: steelman the idea, look up what the analysis actually needs, then hand back options and a 5-line brief for your Chief of Staff. It will use the computer for research. It will not run inbox, CRM, campaigns, or other Bots unless you type EXECUTE or HANDOFF. How I use it: operators own the closed loop. Counsel owns the open question. Group chats make Bots act, so thinking stays 1:1. Calmer voice than default Grok Bot — adult peer, not bro-exec. Template: x.ai/bot/iyADOAx0CM1V76Zh5i1… @Grok @Bot
We’re inviting one Grok Bot user to a Starship launch. You could win the invite by sharing the ways you've integrated @Bot into your work. The invite includes a plus one. How to submit and some examples we love:

When the Fed was born in 1913, the big banks warned that without it we would have nonstop inflation, wildcat banking, bank failures, and endless business cycles. When the Biologics Control Act of 1902 was passed, pharma warned that without it we would have mass injury from vaccines and rogue poison pushers. When the Meat Packing Act of 1906 was passed, the corporate meat packers warned that without it, we would all be eating rancid meat and die. When AI came to be regulated by government, the top players in the industry warned that without this oversight....see the pattern?

Connect the dots. -The Federal Reserve system. -FDR’s “New Deal." -Y2K. -“Net Neutrality.” -“Climate Change.” -“Green New Deal.” -Obamacare. -Dodd/Frank. -COVID. What did they all have in common? 1. Democrats did it. 2. They relied on an actual crisis or an invented crisis to put a largely irrational, existential fear in the minds of average Americans. 3. As a result, personal liberty and economic freedom were willingly handed over to the central government for “safety.” (Or, as with “Net Neutrality,” that handover was attempted but failed.) 4. The effort perversely resulted in the exact opposite of the stated aims. 5. The only groups to benefit were (i) Democrat politicians, (ii) Deep State bureaucrats and (iii) an oligarchy of corporations who gained market control and coincidentally were huge Democrat donors. Connect the dots. Now consider how overnight the Democrats have uniformly decided AI is an existential threat to humanity that must be brought under the control of the powerful central government and a handful of existing oligarchs in the space.

The AI doomer campaign to panic the masses has sparked a counter movement that has largely sat on the sidelines until now. Post covid hysteria era, Americans are deeply skeptical of doomsaying and demands that the government "act now" to solve the problems of ideologues. This isn't going to work out in the way that Sam and Dario have envisioned it proceeding.
