Yesterday it was Discord profiling your social graph. Today it's Google going through your search history and YouTube watching habits to do the same thing. And they're both calling it "privacy-preserving." ✨
In all fairness, they're not collecting new data. They're using what they've already got and they just want you to know.
If Google's model decides you're a teenager: adult apps on Google Play are off-limits, YouTube has opinions about when you should go to bed, and more.
And if it gets you wrong? Please hand over your government ID or get your face scanned. Because apparently it takes more of your data to correct a mistake they made with your data.
Again, privacy-preserving 🙂
