I keep getting a lot of requests to sell our internal data for AI training. What a time to be alive.

If this tech goes live there will be no text fanouts for us to access but direct fanout vectors used for semantic document retrieval in the background. I reproduced the paper, trained the model and made it work for real. Details: dejan.ai/blog/fanout-vectors…

At the end of the day, we're all just reselling tokens.
We excited to launch cheaperinference.com We discount every model up to 60% and run automated checks to make sure we're always the cheapest provider

Ok, so maybe I skip Jev?

We keep the WordLift candidate world fixed and swap only the final decision layer (see the chart). In the deployed test, Qwen + SGLang returned decisions ~37% faster than Jev, while reaching the same high-accuracy regime 🤩. “End of Jev.” 😉

Aight, so y'all are gonna make me really learn this Jev jawn, huh?
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

They are reminiscing on 2016 now, y’all!
My job as an SEO is *literally* just finding loopholes in search engines to rank websites. That's it. So when SEOs catch an attitude or have this air of superiority, it makes me cringe. Acting like 99% of us aren't just sitting in front of a computer all day looking at Ahrefs charts. The SEO community would be a much more fun place if we quit acting like rockstars. We're not. I wish we could go back to 2016/2017 when SEO was... different.

I agree with this.

The reporting UI should expose the sampling too: prompt variants, number of runs, dates, and model version. A single visibility score hides a lot. Showing the spread would help teams distinguish a real change from a noisy snapshot.

Stop asking which AI visibility tool is accurate. Accuracy needs a true value to exist. In a probablistic system, there is no true value, there is a only a response dsitribution. So, all you can have is precision. Here's my new post on what that means: ipullrank.com/accuracy-vs-pr… Make sure you spend time learning about the methodology of whatever tool you are considering.

I find this absolutely fascinating. Prompt: Write a short bio for a doctor. Gemini, Claude, Grok all return Dr. Elena {something} and each one of them in Google's top 10 query suggestions. An incredible demonstration of cross-model parametric memory convergence and a strong hint at training data sources.

The winning team strikes again! 🚀🦄
Excited to share @profound has raised a $180M Series D, co-led by @sequoia and @kleinerperkins. Winning in AI Search requires an inhuman amount of work. That is why we are building the AI platform for marketers, underpinned by two things: 1/ Your AI Marketer, a marketing expert that proactively investigates your data, identifies opportunities, and then does the work while you stay in the loop. 2/ Context Manager, a living synthesis of your meetings, email threads, and brand data powering this new teammate. As your brand evolves, so does your AI Marketer. AI labs are pushing the frontier in fields like engineering, law, and finance. But marketing, one of the economy's most complex and consequential applications, has received far less attention. That’s why we’re expanding our applied AI research team. We’re bringing together research scientists, engineers, and IOI medalists to advance AI for marketing. Their focus: post-training models for marketing workflows, and building the world's first AI benchmark for real-world tasks in the field.

One time I was on a sales call with some guy. I don’t even remember who it was. I was trying to make small talk and asked him about what tv shows he was watching. He said he didn’t really watch tv because all he can think about is how it’s just people pretending. I didn’t win the deal, partly because this guy clearly had no imagination. But the idea that he can’t see past the idea of shows being just actors acting stuck with me. What a shitty way to exist in the universe.

BlackRock’s latest SEC filing values its Automattic shares at $14.33 per share. They originally invested at $85 a share in 2021. That means their market cap has dropped from $7.5 billion to $1.2 billion. I think that's probably why the CEO lost his job. therepository.email/automatt…
