And Chuck Schumer had his Democrats block it because, one, they want the data center issue and the electricity bills issue to stay painful for voters going into November, but also because they don’t want Jon Husted to get a win because they’re desperate to help Sherrod Brown in his challenge in the state of Ohio.”

In 2020, I was at the NRSC when Sullivan was last up, and he once again had a challenger, and there were a lot of polls around this exact same time that put the race within the margin of error, and Sullivan ended up winning very handily. But it is a state that you have to watch, with their ranked-choice voting, with a lot of different populations in the state. But I think that Peltola’s challenge right now is, for example, with this New York Times story — some are dismissing it, saying: ’You know, salty language isn’t going to hurt her too much,’ but she did say, one, she hopes one of her constituents dies of a botched abortion and, two, she also said a number of terrible things, including shoving a staff member. You can be a sort of member with low character if you’re incredibly effective… but you can’t be a person with poor character who’s also ineffective. And when she was in Congress, she didn’t pass a single bill, and so I think that’s going to be a challenge for her.”

His Medicare for All plan is exactly what made Kamala Harris lose.”

He kept pivoting back to criticism of America… The takeaway from the entire segment is Abdul can’t condemn terrorists.”

And I think he was supportive of that, but also circumstances over time have shifted. And he believes, like President Trump, that we need to wrap this up as quickly as possible. Again, I don‘t think that‘s necessarily inconsistent, but I also think if people are worried about prices, you look at Abdul El-Sayed, who wants to ban gas powered cars, and I think that‘s going to raise costs quite a bit. He wants to ban your private health insurance and double your taxes to pay for it. So I do think that there‘s a lot going on there. And I think Rogers is not necessarily being inconsistent. He‘s reacting to the circumstances on the ground.”
