The House ran its own little post office in the Capitol complex. Members got official postage money. The postmaster, Robert Rota, later admitted the real product on offer. A lawmaker walked in with a voucher that said “stamps.” Rota handed back cash. Sometimes they took the stamps, walked them back, and cashed those too. Here is how the scam worked: Members got official postage money so they could mail constituents. They turned that postage into cash. Two scams they developed to cash those out: 1- Walk in with a voucher that said the office was buying stamps. The postmaster handed over cash instead. 2-Actually take the stamps, then bring the stamps back and cash them. Rostenkowski, according to the indictment, told the postmaster how much cash he wanted and handled the vouchers himself. Prosecutors said at least $50,000 came out of that window that way. So the public paid for constituent mail. Some of that postage never became mail. It became pocket money. Dan Rostenkowski was Ways and Means chairman. This is Amarillo, Texas, the officer's name is Christian Eder. Eder had a thing for a female officer. That officer had once dated a local dad. So Eder went hunting. From February to June, he ran that father's license plate through the city's FLOCK cameras 76 times. Every gas station. Every school pickup. Every daycare run. Police confirm there was NO case at all, no assignment. When the system asked him why, he typed "city planning." and dozens of times, just one word: "want." The victim's words: "I'm a creature of habit. I pick my kids up from the same school, the same daycare. It hit me: this guy knows exactly which way I go." The father said he knew something was wrong when he walked out to his car at 1 a.m. and saw a MARKED PATROL UNIT crawling through his parking lot behind him. He texted Eder and asked him to stop and here's the reply, word for word: "lol, tough guy. Whatever y'all got going on is between y'all. Keep it that way. Here's the part that will make you sick. Under Texas law, the "victim" of that charge is... the City of Amarillo. Not the father. Not his kids. He was told he might not even qualify for victim services. "How, all of a sudden, am I not the victim?" He asked police for a description of Eder's personal vehicles so he could watch for him. They said no. The stalker has every piece of his information, but the dad... he isn't allowed to know what car to look for. "I've had to change where my kids sleep in my house. I've had to change everything." The chief admitted to City Council that officers could run these cameras off-duty on their WORK PHONES, with no alerts for high-volume searches, and the department's audit never flagged 76 hits on one plate. I check in with the State Dept, the Visa Consular office in DC, DHS, and the university itself, every single month. They're all still here, still employed, still enrolled, with the exception of one student who now works for 'American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), a powerful Palestinian lobbying group whose co-founder was recently arrested by ICE for terror ties and visa fraud. These mugshots are the professors and students (many are foreigners here on visas) who were arrested at the pro-Palestine rally last year on campus. They called for a global uprising against Jews and Israel. Some of them screeched their brains out in Arabic, chanting for the destruction of America.
