Liberals love comparing today’s migrants to the Italians, Irish, and Poles who came through Ellis Island, but they leave out the dates.
Before the Great Society welfare programs of the mid-1960s, immigrants came through Ellis Island to work. They assimilated, built businesses, and were a net positive because there was no benefit package waiting for them. Today, 78% of Somali immigrant households in Minnesota are still on welfare after more than a DECADE here. Immigrants without a college education can cost taxpayers up to $400,000 over a lifetime.
A country CANNOT simultaneously have open borders and a welfare state — I don’t know how liberals can’t understand this basic economics.

Deb Holland‘s team has officially shut down debate negotiations and announced they are walking away from the table. Legacy media outlets like KOB have repeatedly claimed they plan to move forward with the schedule debate no matter what, it’s time to hold their feet to the fire if Deb refuses to show up, KOB needs to keep the lights on, leave an empty podium on the stage and let Greg Hall answer the questions.
