As a US citizen, criticizing the EU is easy. Maybe he should criticise his own government instead? Old joke: An American says, "We have freedom of speech! The law would read "It'll be illegal for us to engage in transaction discrimination, until we do." The elected MEPs would overwhelmingly vote no. Ursula would recount the vote and say enough MEPs weren't there to vote that she gets to reinterpret the vote, and it'd pass.
