FOUR CHARGED IN ASSAULT AND ROBBERY OF 63-YEAR-OLD MAN IN JENNINGS - #STL ‼️ $250,000 BOND CASH ONLY NO 10% ‼️ ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Four people have been charged in connection with the alleged assault and robbery of a 63-year-old man following a traffic crash in Jennings, according to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Tamara Logan, 48, (Top Right) Martinez Logan, 25, (Bottom Right) Mary Moore, 26, (Top Left) and Davion Alfred, 30, (Bottom Left) were each charged Thursday, Sept. 24, with second-degree robbery, third-degree assault of a special victim, second-degree burglary and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. Each defendant is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond with no 10% option. According to probable cause statements, the incident began Saturday, Sept. 19 on northbound Jennings Station Road near Shannon Avenue. Authorities allege Alfred, Martinez Logan and Moore were inside a 2013 Ford Escape that was waiting to turn left onto Shannon Avenue when a 2025 Chrysler Caravan driven by a 62-year-old man identified by the initials L.J. struck the rear of the Escape. The victim pulled over and got out of his vehicle to check on the occupants of the Escape, according to investigators. Tamara Logan allegedly arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. Prosecutors allege Alfred approached the victim and punched him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim was then allegedly punched, kicked, stomped and dragged by the defendants until he lost consciousness. Investigators said Alfred allegedly took the victim’s car keys and wallet before the group entered the victim’s Caravan and rummaged through it. Trash bags containing items the victim reportedly intended to donate to Goodwill were removed from the vehicle, according to the probable cause statements. Police responded to the scene, where the victim was reportedly unable to speak. He was transported to a hospital and remained there for several days. Authorities said he suffered bruises, scrapes, scratches and a black eye. According to prosecutors, the defendants initially claimed the victim was intoxicated, and neither they nor bystanders told responding officers about an assault. The victim’s family later reported the alleged attack while he was hospitalized. Detectives subsequently identified Alfred and Moore through information contained in the initial accident report, according to the probable cause statements. Investigators said a bystander had recorded part of the incident. Authorities allege the video showed Moore, who was wearing pink pants, kicking the victim multiple times while he was on the ground; Martinez Logan, wearing a gray shirt, dragging the victim; and Tamara Logan, wearing a dress, stomping on the victim. The recording also allegedly captured people repeatedly telling the victim to stay down as he attempted to stand and Alfred threatening to strike him again. Detectives said additional tips and social media posts helped them identify Tamara and Martinez Logan. All four defendants were arrested Sept. 23. According to the probable cause statements, investigators showed them the video and each allegedly admitted involvement in the incident. Authorities said Alfred admitted throwing the first punch, taking the victim’s keys, going through his wallet and entering his vehicle. Moore allegedly admitted kicking the victim multiple times while he was on the ground. Martinez Logan allegedly admitted kicking the victim in the face and dragging him from the roadway to the curb, while Tamara Logan allegedly admitted stomping on the victim’s legs. Investigators said the victim’s keys and wallet were later found on his vehicle along with his cellphone, but approximately $100 was missing from the wallet. Detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s City of Jennings Precinct are leading the investigation.
