As I wrote in my column on Lane Johnson, Cam Jurgens had lost his confidence. The switch to LG didn’t help matters.
What shouldn’t be forgotten is Cam’s contributions, most notably playing through a back injury that required surgery on the way to a title:inquirer.com/eagles/eagles-i…

Aside from the Ravens need at center, Cam Jurgens is contractually attractive.
At 27 years old, Jurgens is under contract the next four years and has a $1 million salary-cap figure this season and a $4 million salary-cap figure next season.
Trade: Eagles are sending two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 7th-round pick to the Ravens in exchange for a 2027 5th-round pick and a 2028 2nd-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Lane Johnson is a special player, but more importantly a special person! I love him like a brother!
For the past decade, Lane has been the best Right tackle in the NFL. His athleticism, technique, strength, and size, combined to make him a player few could get around. His pass set and movements looked more like an art than someone who punched people for a living. It was a pure joy to watch him play for all these years, but even more so, it was a pure joy to be his friend. Lane could make me laugh, cry, and smile all in a matter of hours. In the meeting room cracking jokes, in his car listening to country music lyrics, at the cafeteria talking about life, I cherish the memories, they give me so much joy. Congratulations on retirement, I loved ever second of watching you play, and am proud that I got to share the field with you @LaneJohnson65

His counting stats will take a hit this year but VJ Edgecombe is blossoming into a full-scale NBA star
He has bulked up a bit, the handle is tighter, playmaking looks improved, and some encouraging signs of his finishing around the rim. Exactly what you hope to see
VJ Edgecombe had 7 assists in 20 minutes in preseason game 1. Huge deal if he's shaking guys and making nasty passes in the regular season.

Get well soon, @MBarkannNBCS ❤️
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Michael Barkann is recovering after undergoing an emergency procedure, which is why he wasn't on the air after high-profile losses by the Eagles and Phillies.

In case you missed the Sixers preseason opener, here's the full highlights from the win vs. Knicks.
No LeBron, Embiid or Maxey tonight... but we got plenty of Jaylen Brown, Edgecombe and more to fill the reel! 👇

idk who needs to hear this but facing adversity is when you like, overcome being on food stamps or have to rehab after a car accident
it’s not sexually assaulting dozens of women, settling out of court, and then continuing to play football
Tony Gonzalez said he was "proud and happy" for Deshaun Watson, citing the "adversity" the quarterback faced off the field.

It’s already here.
The U.S. State Department is monitoring a reportedly fatal case of "pneumonia of an unknown etiology" linked to a plague research laboratory in Russia.

Community note
The plague has not spread. There has been one death in Russia and 200 others have been quarantined. This is fear-mongering.

Had a lot of Eagles fans upset with me in preseason when I took the view that the loss of Stoutland was massive and scapegoating him and trying to demote him was a mistake.
Brilliant coach, HOF resume, amazing leader.
Honestly should be a Head Coach, remember Andy Reid was a career OL coach before he got his chance too.
"I do think now that we can say all of the protesting from within the Eagles building that the loss of Jeff Stoutland was not going to be that big of a deal and was being overrated from people on the outside...
I don't think that was right. "
