Interesting new scam email utilizing real @awscloud alerts with custom names to generate fake warnings. This is a genuine alert email, sent by Amazon! These are real links to the scammer's console that fired it. The scammer bounces it through a @DreamHost account and @Outlook .com , but it is a genuine email so it passes DKIM and fails SPF since the host that enveloped it to me wasn't actually authorized to send from aws.com. Yet it still gets the verified blue check 🤔 I can imagine some account/financial contacts that would fall for this.
Alarm "A recent sign-in to your Amazon account was followed by a $649.87 payment through PayPal for a new order. If this payment was not authorized by you, please verify the related account activity and contact PayPal at 1-859-704-1570. Account" is in A .." etc etc, it is a scam email using amazon aws cloudwatch alerts to spread.

this isn’t correct, even a single insertion through the membrane of the vial damages the tip of the needle this makes the removal act like panel 3 as you withdraw from your body, rather than panel 2. you don’t want a hook tearing up the insertion path

This is what I call the "Gun Rhinocerous problem". The "AI slowdown" the big tech guys are calling for is just an excuse for not delivering on their own idiotic promises. They companies overpromised, and like with crypto before it, they have run face first into the nature of the technology. Not it's limits - what it *is*, specifically. All their promises depended on convincing you it wasn't constrained by its nature. The fundamental issue with AI has ALWAYS BEEN that it CAN'T do precisely what you intend because prompts are lossy compression you can't control the decompression of. That is what the technology is. They are rebranding that as "lack of alignment" as if it wasn't present from inception. And now they are caught in how much they lied about what would change, unable to deliver and unable to walk it back. So what do they do? They say "the Gun Rhinocerous is too dangerous!". The machines got more "capable" in the way that mounting a gun on a rhinoceros makes it more capable. It does not make it a soldier, and you cannot make it follow your orders because your orders do not contain the full set of instructions. Because it is a Rhinocerous. And for years we've said "hey this Rhinocerous doesn't do what you say" and got laughed at because we were told 'this is the worst it will ever be'. That has always been the problem, and now they're going "well we can't control the Gun Rhinocerous so it's time to slow down" no fucking shit idiot. That has always been the complaint.
