The UK is making folic acid fortification of non-wholemeal wheat flour mandatory later this year but it’s already appearing in foods on our shelves. Why should synthetic folic acid be added routinely to a staple food eaten by almost everyone?
I can see that FOLIC ACID is in this Scottish shortbread.
Now I want to know where else it’s turning up.
Bread? Biscuits? Cakes? Crackers? Wraps? Pastries?

Folic acid potentially causes cancers…sign the petition. Link @ClareCraigPath
My understanding is that it funcitonally blocks natural folates at DHFR, MTHFR and folate receptor alpha.
The cancer effect is:
a) folates are antioxidant but folic acid is pro-oxidant and damages DNA
b) harm to natural killer cells
c) growth promotion
Is there something I am missing?

Passengers at East Midlands Airport will be able to pass through securely using state-of-the-art facial technology to verify their identity.
This is estimated to be up to 25% faster compared to using a passport at an eGate.
All airport eGates are set to be contactless by early 2027.
