This is holding up as voters start voting. @AngieNixon is rebuilding the coalition in my beloved homestate and waking up dormant voters statewide. She can win if you vote for her! 💪
My new piece in the @thenation Florida Isn’t Red. Democrats Just Stopped Showing Up. With more than 900,000 Puerto Rican voters, Florida can be won in 2026 and put in play for 2028. Give Angie Nixon the chance she deserves. @AngieNixon @KatrinaNation thenation.com/article/politi…

This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

First of all, it’s Mayor Mamdani not Mandani so get that right. And you of all people who was outright rejected by Florida Democrats is the last person to be passing judgment. Mayor Mamdani is an excellent leader who sees the humanity in all of us and will call out injustice wherever and whenever he sees it.

Tell us more about winning elections, Alex.
Mayor Mandani, normally an astute political actor, did a real disservice to DEMs and Dem DSA candidates immediately before midterm elections. He ignited controversy in the exact moment Dems are making their appeals to moderates and independents. Unfortunately, he’s undercut Dems in several battlegrounds.

While many Democrats are demanding that Biden officials complicit in the genocide of Gaza not be re-hired (if not fully prosecuted), Cory Booker is actively promoting the book of one:
Cory Booker — who is being floated as a 2028 contender, and who just the other day did not deny the possibility of wanting to become leader of the Senate Democrats — promotes the book of Brett McGurk, a chief architect of the US-backed Israeli genocide of Palestine:

More than anything, this tweet, I think, reflects a glaring, oblivious political disconnect among the establishment centre the staffers, consultants etc. who operate within it.
. @brett_mcgurk is one of our nation’s great experts on the Middle East and has spent decades working at the highest levels of diplomacy through some of the region’s most consequential moments. I’m really looking forward to reading Brink and learning from his firsthand account of the extraordinary efforts to free the hostages, and confront the extraordinary challenges of the region.

David Valadao voted six times for Trump’s reckless war in Iran. That’s six votes in favor of higher gas prices when families are already pinching pennies to make ends meet. Randy Villegas knows what Californians in his district are going through, and he’s ready to stand up for them in Washington.

Brett McGurk has been around to run the US's criminal Middle East follies since the occupation of Iraq, and he's maybe the single most culpable official for the Gaza genocide and the plan to turn Palestine into a security colony. Naturally, Cory Booker is plugging his book:

There is a suspected outbreak of the plague in Russia. Yes, you read that right. And we cannot trust RFK Jr. and the Trump administration to be prepared to deal with this. We need a Democratic public health doctor in the US Senate. axios.com/2026/10/04/russia-…
