WARNING: This pathetic debacle from mega-neocon, close Trump adviser and WPost columnist
@MarcThiessen is not only deeply embarrassing but also so revealing.
He wanted to justify Israel's destruction of Gaza -- and reject the word "genocide" for it -- by comparing Gaza to what the US did to Dresden, but instead chose a photo of what the Nazis did to Warsaw after the uprising. Through rank ignorance, he showed why Israeli and Nazi behavior are similar.
It got properly community-noted, but please be advised: if you're a student or faculty member on an American university and wish to say what I just said -- comparing Nazi conduct in WW2 to Israeli conduct in Gaza -- that speech is now banned as officially "anti-Semitic" under the new, expanded IHRA hate speech codes for "anti-Semitism" that Trump forced American universities to adopt, and can subject you to serious punishments.
Horrifying. Clear evidence of genocide…
Oh wait that’s Dresden after US and British bombing in WWII..
