There’s a fine line between patience and hesitation. Patience is waiting for A-grade confirmation before entering. Hesitation is watching the A-grade set up, confirm, and move - while you sat on your hands waiting to feel “more sure.” One of them makes money. The other watches it happen.

6 Steps to Better Decisions as a Trader
Know what to do before the market forces you to decide. 1. Before the trade — Should I trade? Is it a proven setup from your playbook? Does the market environment fit? Does the reward justify the risk? Do you have a clear invalidation level and the correct position size? Are you following your system, or do you just want action? If these don't align, pass. 2. At entry — What am I risking? Know your entry, stop, position size, initial $ risk, % of capital at risk, and your target or exit method. The chart determines the stop. The stop determines the position size. 3. After entry — Has anything actually changed? Is the setup still valid? Has your predetermined exit been reached? Has price action materially changed? Are you reacting to the chart or to your P&L? If nothing important has changed, don't invent a new decision. 4. When losing — Exit or hold? Hold only while your thesis and predefined risk remain valid. Exit when the stop is triggered, the setup is invalidated, market behavior violates your entry reason, or your risk limit is reached. Never turn a planned trade into an unplanned investment. 5. When winning — Exit or hold? Has the target been reached? Has the trailing stop triggered? Has the trend or setup weakened? Is there actual evidence to exit, or are you afraid of giving back profit? Let your exit rules manage the winner, not your emotions. 6. After the trade — What did I learn? Record the setup, entry, exit, risk, result in R, rule adherence, mistakes, a screenshot, and one lesson. Then separate two questions: did the strategy work, and did you execute it correctly? A losing trade can still be good execution. A winning trade can still involve bad execution. Make your important trading decisions before money is influencing your emotions.

I keep seeing this argument that 5%+ treasury yields don't matter, because they're "historically low" (in reality, they're just 0.6% below the historical average, but that's besides my point) The directionality of yields is what the markets care about. Not the absolute number, the trend. Volatility of this kind in bonds means that action in risk & long-duration assets suffer ("chop") from perpetual uncertainty with regard to the pricing of forward expectations. For the past 7 months consecutively, the 10-year yield has risen higher. That's tied for the *longest streak ever*, rivaled by only 2010 and 1978. These are rare events separated by decades. As for those who say yields are up due to "lack of fiscal discipline" -- sure.. that's a tailwind, but that's been an issue for the better part of two decades. That's not the catalyst, though. The more intelligent take, if you're looking for an emerging, more chronic issue is the idea that we are inflecting toward de-globalization because of repeated resource crises during most periods of conflict in recent history, the schism between the U.S. & China over Taiwan, the distancing of the U.S. from NATO obligations and vice-versa, the pervasion of "fairness" doctrines (tariffs), the broader destabilization of Europe & the Middle East through war, and the highly competitive nature of emerging technologies, namely AI, which are increasingly dubbed as national security imperatives. If you're looking for acute cause, there is only one explicit catalyst that is *actually* driving the bond vigilantes to relentlessly push yields, and it's obvious: the 10-year yield is up for 7 months consecutively, from 3.9% to 5.2%. Anyone know what happened 7 months ago? Oh... yeah... the war in Iran. If we want to get yields & interest rates under control, the war must end. Not only will this subdue the acute catalyst, but it will also dampen the risk surrounding the more chronic de-globalization story.

$TSLA OPENS FIRST HIGH-VOLUME SEMI FACTORY Tesla has opened its new Semi factory in Sparks, Nevada, with capacity planned for 50,000 trucks a year, or roughly 1,000 per week. Deliveries begin this week, with DHL, PepsiCo and US Foods among customers. Tesla was also selected as the primary supplier for ZET SCALE’s initial 2,500-truck order, while Einride recently ordered 500 Semis. The long-range Semi is rated for ~500 miles, and Tesla says fleet operations have shown 98% uptime.

Agentic commerce is a genuine threat to the "platform premium" across most consumer-facing merchants in industries like travel, lodging, shopping etc. Many are complaining about the negative stock reactions in these retail names, but I think it's justified multiple-compression, at least until we ascertain the winners & losers. People stick to central platforms largely for convenience and the brand-associated trust. AI agents will massively reduce the friction required to find the highest-quality options at the best price, regardless of what merchant or website they're available on. There is also an implicit voluntary sacrifice of privacy & security when using these agents, and the growing trend of people connecting their bank accounts and deferring to agent-decisions is evidence of this. Instead of spending hours browsing & comparing to find the best option, AI will do it for you in minutes. This will drive a variety of benefits for the consumer, namely producing a massive incentive for merchants to assure that their prices & breadth of offerings are highly competitive.

The market salivates every single time we get a positive headline about resolving the Iran war. The *day before* the war started in February, the 10-year yield was 3.96%, and falling. We were setting up for a goldilocks environment. It's nearly 5.2% today. You'd think with all the repeated headlines and no resolution, we'd be playing "boy who cried wolf" by now, but no -- reopening the Strait of Hormuz is THAT important to near-term inflation expectations. The market is literally screaming at the top of its lungs: "END THE WAR"
