Tucker Carlson’s “interview” with the great Jacob Rees-Mogg shows why he's is the most dangerous demagogue in America. He's an historical illiterate posing as a modern-day Herodotus. This isn;'t really about ignorance or contrarianism. By “challenging” every settled historical truth, his aim is to erase every moral distinction and reduce history to a series of supposedly "unanswered questions"—all of which, not coincidentally, turn the decent into the demonic and the demonic into the decent. Hitler's "legitimate claims" against Poland justify the conquest and destruction of an entire nation in the most murderous occupation in human history? Was defeating Nazi Germany even worth it? By asking these "so-called" questions, Tucker's goal isn't to illuminate history, it's to invert it. Aggressors become victims. Victims become aggressors. Dictators are statesmen. Democracies defending themselves are warmongers. The guilt for history's greatest crimes are stripped of context, so responsibility can shift to the victims of those crimes. Rewriting history to cast Nazi Germany as the victim and Poland—the nation Hitler invaded, occupied, terrorized and sought to destroy—as the criminal is the deliberate destruction of moral truth and a grotesque insult to a nation that paid in blood unmatched in the annals of human crime. @Jacob_Rees_Mogg @NawrockiKn @D_Tarczynski @radeksikorski @donaldtusk @marklevinshow @tedcruz @SpencerGuard @VDHanson

Victor Davis Hanson: Tucker Carlson Is Rewriting the History of World War II Tucker Carlson’s interview with Jacob Rees-Mogg turned into a clash over World War II history, Britain’s decision to fight Hitler, and whether Britain could have stayed out of the war. Rees-Mogg pushed back with historical facts, arguing that Britain had already seen Hitler break his promises, invade Poland, and expand Nazi control across Europe. The argument is that Britain had no choice but to stand against Hitler and that rewriting the history of the war ignores why Britain ultimately fought. “Almost everything he said in that interview was false.” @VDHanson

Since I’ve been busy angering the left the last few days, allow me to pivot and anger the right: Affiliating with Tucker should be disqualifying for any presidential candidate in 2028, regardless of what his or her current position is or if their name is Vance.
Tucker saying he wishes Hitler had won World War II was absolutely on my 2026 bingo card

I don’t like Rees-Mogg at all. But listen, if you bring weak ass sophistry into a knife fight with an old Etonian, Oxford union, parliamentarian you are going to get FUCKED UP. There’s a bene gesserit breeding program that designed this man for victory in this form of combat. Frankly? Tucker is lucky he didn’t get dismantled in Latin.
I have been trying to work out why the Carlson—Rees-Mogg interview is going viral. I think it’s because because it represents the moment when traditional conservatism, defined by courtesy, self-restraint and truth, visibly overcomes the feverish, conspiracist and bellicose post-liberal Right. Sir @Jacob_Rees_Mogg was the perfect instrument of destruction. He is a man of unquestioned sincerity, intellect and courtliness. He was one of only two Ali G interviewees to emerge with his reputation enhanced, the other being Tony Benn, and for the same reason: utter sincerity. With Tucker, as with the brilliant Baron-Cohen, he bats away feverish, crackpot claims in a calm, measured and devastatingly gracious way. What ended McCarthyism was the dignified put down delivered by the Army’s lawyer, Joseph Welch, on live TV in June 1954: “Senator, you have done enough. Have you no sense of decency?” Joe McCarthy died three years later at the age of 48, broken and disgraced. As Welch to McCarthy, so Mogg to Tucker.

Looks like a bunch of Muslims just attempted to blow up US military aircraft in the UK. These people are a scourge. In 5 years or less, the US will look just like the UK because our lawmakers didn’t take the threat of Islam seriously. Millions of Americans will die.

What do you mean “a new trilogy in the Skywalker Saga”? Luke is dead & bore no children. Han & Leia are dead & so is their only son. The sequel trilogy has provided nothing to build on their legacy outside of a character who symbolically took their name, & nobody likes her.
Jon Watts is set to direct ‘STAR WARS: EPISODE 10’. The film is intended to be the beginning of a new trilogy in the Skywalker Saga. (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/news/g…)

Mamdani is a Marxist-Islamist, America-hating, Jew-hating, radical who is destroying New York City and pushing his ideology beyond the 5-boroughs and into Congress.  He is the enemy within.  Utterly contemptible.  Period.  Full stop.  He is to be fought at every turn and ultimately defeated, not appeased and assisted.

The opening scene of Saving Private Ryan -- the whole conquest of Omaha Beach -- runs about 24 to 25 minutes. Imagine standing and applauding through the entire sequence. That's how long the audience at the Venice Film Festival gave a standing ovation for "Naza." Even if it's a good documentary, that's still the madness of crowds at work. Obsession with Israel is getting dangerously irrational. thedispatch.com/article/medi…

For those interested, Javier Milei made a speech at the UN today. A summary: 1) He called the UN “useless” and said it “only serves to feed a caste of parasites.” He said its original purpose of defending sovereignty and resolving conflicts peacefully has been broken. 2) He naturally discussed the Falklands. He said the UN “looked the other way” on the dispute, that resolutions have no consequences, and that Argentina won’t wait for the UN. He asked the UK to resume negotiations, including about natural resources. He rejected self-determination for the islanders. 3) He aligned Argentina unambiguously with the West, specifically naming the USA and Israel. 4) He called out the UN remaining silent on Islamic terrorism and genocides of Christians in Africa. 5) He said the UN’s COVID lockdown recommendations were an “experiment in social control disguised as science” and said it “generated a genocide.” 6) He wants unrestricted AI development and said Argentina wishes to be at the forefront of that revolution and NOT subject to heavy international regulation. If you like or dislike what he said, that's on Mr. Milei, not me. I'm just reporting.

People keep asking me to push for one Mayoral candidate or the other. Trying to decide the best move. Guys...it's over. LA had its chance for a candidate of change back in June, and instead...they voted for continued destruction. Both candidates will make LA worse. I feel like Hank in that late episode of Breaking Bad...he's already shot to hell, Walt is desperately bargaining with the Nazis to spare his life in exchange for all the money he has. He begs Hank to tell them to take the deal. Hank just looks at him and says "you're the smartest guy I ever met. And you're too stupid to see...he made up his mind 10 minutes ago." I hate to break it to you, but the fate of LA is already baked into the cake 3 months ago. There's no more wheeling and dealing, no clever ballot trick, no October surprise that's gonna get you out of it. Your chance was in June, and a lot of you just stayed home. Or voted for Alan Miller. I told you to get ten of your friends to vote, and you didn't do it. Elections have consequences, so I hope you all now appreciate that, and operate with a greater sense of urgency with these things. Vote for governor, you still have a shot. Vote for voter ID. Vote down all the new taxes. But for Mayor, it's too late.

I am a die hard Trump supporter and today I am feeling demoralized because Mamdani is a full blown communist jihadist. He is the spiritual leader of the communists in America and he met with the President today in NYC less than 45 days before the midterms while his wife is celebrating October 7th and while Jews are being slaughtered in NYC by Muslims and while Muslims blast their call to prayer outside of NYC churches at 5 am and illegals are being protected by Mamdani in a city where crime has exploded because tbh Mayor is a terrorist loving communist. How is this supposed to make Trump’s most loyal supporters feel? We don’t feel very happy today. We were told to FIGHT communism. But when we fight communism, we see the communist get rewarded. We were told to oppose terrorists, but when we do, they get invited into the Oval Office and gifted perfume. The messaging is off. The messaging is so OFF. The base is very angry today.
Meeting with communists and jihadists doesn’t energize people. We need people to feel energized to go vote for Republicans this November. Even President Trump himself, while speaking at the midterm convention in Texas, said, “just pretend like I am on the ballot”. He obviously knows that people are not feeling enthusiastic to vote for a bunch of do nothing RINOs who refused to codify President Trump’s agenda, and so he wants people to get out and vote for him. Obviously this is the right move, and everyone should vote Republican, but meeting with Mamdani doesn’t help to energize people or motivate them to go vote. It does the exact opposite. It demoralizes the base. I’m going to vote because I don’t want my country to be taken over by communists. But it is also true that a lot of people are staying home, and we need to avoid unforced errors. We should be working to remove the communists, not breaking bread with them. Midterms are in less than 45 days. Mamdani is working to elect all of the anti-American candidates who want to see the USA fall by their own admission.

What a sad day for America. Hard to really feel happy about things when there’s just never any accountability for the worst people in America. Personally, even though I am patriotic, I don’t think our country will survive the Islamic communist takeover that is pretty much inevitable. The GOP refuses to address it. I guess we should just try to enjoy what’s left of the country before it just implodes since nothing has been done to crack down on the Islamic communist insurrectionists in America who want to create a violent and dangerous society with no law and order and open borders. We can look at the UK as an example of what our future will look like. Their downfall started with a Muslim mayor too. It’s almost like history is repeating itself. Sad. Hard to feel happy about any of it. I don’t like pretending.
